Oddly enough, while picking up some soy lecithin, I found a bag of empty capsules at the market. I remember reading that some people use coconut med oil to fill caps. Now I'm trying to figure out how they do that. Or is it simply a matter of scooping Abv directly into the cap?

@puddleglum i started with those, but needed to find a lower sugar option, so started making cookies and stuff with stevia and coconut sugar instead. Also a batch of cheddar scones, which were way too big. Next time will try keep the sizes manageable...

I use water in the slow cooker just for volume. A smaller volume of butter may get too hot and boil instead of simmer, so adding water will keep our from boiling. The double boiler method means you can't boil your butter, so no water required. @puddleglum - sharesies on the delicious recipes...
