    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by an ice catcher - other than a tube with ice pinches? I've never seen a bubbler that can be equipped for ice. I sit my bubbler in an ice bucket (just a little tupperware container), which keeps the glass and water very cold. I don't know how that compares...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Very interesting; thanks. I'm kinda caught between the proverbial rock-and-hard-place (this is what happens when you become an oldie; just wait), where I'm both vulnerable to dry sore throat and my bronchial tubes get irritated by the dryness and a lot of drag - so I started using the bag more...

Thanks a lot @jackstraw62 & @hereatlast & @progress, your replies and previous posts have been more than very helpful. :)

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I do that. It's very simple. After blowing the bag I simply remove the elbow screen and then fit the elbow into my bubbler's GonG joint. This will work with any piece with an 18/19 female joint, or if your piece is a 14mm, with an adapter. I suggest you try dropping the temp to 180C. Do...

Fantastic vid! Just to be clear (ya know, us oldies are kinda slow), you've been mostly staying at around 9 o'clock but have gone as low as ~7 o'clock and still are getting good vapor? Since IIRC 10 o'clock is approx 170C that suggests 9 o'clock is ~165C and 7 o'clock is ~155C. If I'm reading...

Offhand I don't know of another thread with this much entertainment value. The excitement is palpable. Comedians everywhere. And, hell, we've only just begun. Just think what it's gonna be like when there are hundreds of us with Clouds . . . as it is, a lot of us are practically living here...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

@VapeNStone - I encourage you take the time to browse this thread. Yes, it's long, so maybe take it 5-10 pages at a time. The replies you've received above are all good, but pretty much everyone here agrees that temps, methods, technique, fan settings, etc. are very much a matter of personal...

Neither HT has flush contact with the steel surface (unless you mean the tiny contact at the rim of the ELB?). I would expect the SGW joint to have a small but, as a practical matter, inconsequential warming effect on the HT's water. It will probably depend on how high you set the Cloud's temp...

Ah yes, and then there is drinking the water. How could I have forgotten? I can see that your "Wasted' title fits perfectly!

Since this is your first post, it's possible or maybe probable that you are new to FC. Welcome. All of your questions and a whole lot more have been discussed many, many, many times. Besides this thread with >400 posts, there is a preceding thread with >5000 posts. There are pics and...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

yea, IIRC VXC suggested as much in an earlier post, given that the SG's were avail first, then the Vertigo's, then the SGW's, so that would move the pre-orders around in the queue . . . with that and the relatively small numbers here, it can't be expected that the orders would be filled...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Thanks for that clarification. And that does make sense; the heat transfer to the joint will be primarily with the draw, the HT won't be sitting atop the joint for a lengthy time, and the glass is thick. I don't mean to over-work this - but fantasizing about how the Cloud can be used is all we...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Thanks, SM. I gather from your cold-meets-warm reply that the Cloud's class joint gets hot. Warm wouldn't be a risk, but hot would be. It occurs to me also that the Showerdome, given its recessed joint surrounded by the water chamber, may have its water warmed rather quickly due to heat...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I use a tupperware container as an ice bucket for my bubbler, and it works very well keeping both water and glass cold. I wonder though if something similar wouldn't work with an HT. You would just need to wipe any water away from the inside of the joint before mating to the Cloud; doesn't...

Thanks, gents! I am, unfortunately, one of those with extra sensitivity to dryness and heat. I'll take any bonus I can get - so if the ice effectively adds even a small amount of cooling without any real sacrifice, that's great. I can't wait!

So call me stupid, but is the "motherfucking ICE" something special or is it just . . . ice? And assuming the latter, comments from other new Cloud owners? With other pieces at least, there's always the consideration of some condensation on the ice and vapor loss. I have a piece that holds 4-6...
