Doesn't take years. Witness Trump. I listen to this guy, I hear the applause and I have to just shake my head in disbelief that people can't see right through his pandering. It's almost like mass hypnosis.

The problem that he has though is that all of the things that he has said during the primaries are there on record and WILL be used against him during the general. Can he overcome that by saying that he just did what he had to do to win the primaries? Will he actually win the primary...

I believe that that was strictly a strategic move to get the base on his side and it worked. I also think that as time goes on, he will move from the far right towards the center and you will see him act a bit more presidential being that he is going to have to do this to set himself up for...

I'm totally with you on this. He's playing these primaries like a finely tuned instrument but I still don't think he's going to end up being the GOP's nominee.

Here's a totally different take here. You guys know how ant-Trump I am but I also have another perspective. For decades, I always believed that a successful businessman would be a better President than a politician BECAUSE of their skill set, but I also believe that that would never happen...

If Trump wins the primary, which I don't think he will but if he does, the Dems WILL play the racist card and that could polarize this country MUCH more than it already is and it could be a very dangerous polarization.

Ain't gonna happen. Bush just dropped out. His supporters will migrate over to Rubio. When Katich drops out, his supporters will go over to Rubio as well. The way I see it, Trump is toast. His days in the spotlight will dwindle.

Ya know, as appalling as Trump rhetoric is, it's more appalling how many people agree with him. Fear makes people do some crazy ass shit.

Ummm..........could be a disagreement here, even in the loosest of definitions being that if one uses a substance to alter their perception than it could be said that they are self medicating their mind for one reason or another, eh? Separate how?
