Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

Well, you have an 0 for 1 recommendation from Mr-C  Maybe you have to pay the extra $5 for a functioning model :brow:

@cieje - It states the plug is 2.1mm not 2.5. Although it is probably universal. And you will get an adapter with the Flix anyway. The AlexNLD site takes PayPal. I don't have Visa cash cards to throw at non-participating sellers.

Welcome to the new FC @Copterstyle ... Search trick was "3-12v 10a AC/DC". Banggood shows one for less but couldn't get the site to cooperate. So I went looking. That Israel site is pretty prominent in search. A little more to my door from AliExpress - US $30.88 |3V 4.5V 5V 6V 7.5V 8V 9V...

My '20 draws great. Then again my CCD sits flat on the bottom. There is a sight taper to the '20 tip's bore. Makes the CCD loose in the bottom. So the ledge if not a problem. If your CCD sits concave in the bottom, flip it.

These are pretty new. Came out just in time. A lot of lower power offers out there. But for $10 more than a normal supply -to my door- Fuck! So free shipping to EU too?

:science: DIY to counter VAS! @LongDraw - starving the Caldron with a 5 amp supply does what you say, reduce the power level of the heater. It isn't the right way to do it. It needs a DC-DC converter between there or a big honking resistor. Right now, the power supply is the big...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

@LongDraw - 12v5A is insufficient for the Flix and will likely suffer in the long run. However, the requirements are typically 'minimum' So the Caldron will work fine with the proper Flix supply. Today, Caldron ships with an 8 amp supply.

Congrats on the launch of Flix! One quick note on the Flix ad - you might add images of the 2 options and what they mean compared to the base version. Several of these supplies have hybrid plugs that will work with 2.1 and 2.5mm. They will fit tighter on a 2.5mm pin so that is a plus. They...

@mr_cfromcali - what is the current draw on the Flix at 9 volts? Wondering if a 9V brick option may be worthwhile. If it draws say 45-50 watts, it is sufficient to heat the tip within 10 seconds. That would be a much smaller supply and an alternate performance option.

We're in the 20-kilohertz range. Basic radio band. I'm sure these things would light up an RF meter. But there are open bands for such nonsense. Got a good size spool of 18 gauge magnet wire today. Let's see if I can make some proper center-tapped coils. I'm pretty close to pulling a...

The 3800mah Sub-C cell was enough for a trench for me. I went to 4200mah to be sure

If a cell can do a full trench and only get warm it is a winner.

I'd like to see the EBL on the OPUS charger. Curious as to the internal resistance reading. This one piece of data will tell if they will get hot or not. Also see if they get hot in the charger. I had all kinds of trouble with the MF PowerEx cells.
