Yeah I don't think thermal paste is the ticket. It's meant for thermal dissipation and has limited practicality beyond pyromania and chip thermal management. De-oxit might be worth a try? If you push in the button most of the way and twist it, is there a lot of spring tension? The problem is...

this is pretty interesting to me. I'm not familiar with the "reflow" of the Mac GPUs.. what do you mean? To me, reflow with a SMD component is referring to flux assisted hot rework. I use AS5 on my Noctua D14, actually I think I used Noctua's blend last remount. I washed some thermal paste off...

at one point HL came out and said something about sanding/scouring the brass contact on the back-end.. I guess I'll look it up on their blogs.. Maintenance: There are a few maintenance checks that should be performed every month. 1. Keep your battery contact clean. If there is any dirt or...

I've mainly been using the GH as my portable and at home insta-hitter. I have had little luck with 510 mod vapes - the tubo broke, the StemPod is nice but not quite what I'm after, the SplinterZ wasn't shipping down under. The Mighty is still ~$500 AUD which is crazy, Arizers portables are ~320...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

yep, I look forward to trying out a varied sized but consistent grinder. My SLX is very good, but it doesn't produce uniform texture. I was cutting veggies last night thinking that the ideal is to have every piece the same size, so it cooks evenly. I want the same for my herb, if it's all the...

Yeah, that is something. I find the Hopper keeps me awake if anything. Possibly it's relatively low heat and the amount a chamber fits (.13g). I can easily put twice that in the sub and hit it in one or two goes with the temp cranked above what a hopper does, and the ABV is competely...

The insulation makes a massive difference I believe. Material with a high R-value covered by a foil means that the majority of heat energy is getting applied where it's desired. The target temp is obtained without the heating element exceeding it - that shows a real efficiency you won't see on...

    Zero milking in bubbler w/Mighty?!

For cloud chasing it will probably help to start at a higher temp. I had a look at Vapefiend UK and they seem to have a similar adapter to the one you linked. Starting at 210°C might make all the difference you need

    Zero milking in bubbler w/Mighty?!

what temp are you running? It's possibly a leaking adapter, but also the Mighty isn't known for especially huge clouds, and it takes big clouds to white wall a bubbler. You might find hitting it under a strong light shows up the vapour much better and gives you better feedback.

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

I thought similar, but as the lower sections are fixed together, there's good torque in both directions available. The teeth design is meant to avoid pinch points, which is what many grinders suffer from when they get stuck/jammed. The smaller size and the smooth finish is perhaps what I'll be...

Yeah I will never PBW my HT PFE, but I also hardly use it to preserve it lol, glass alone scratches it, I use it native or with a Teflon adapter. I wouldn't really recommend a coloured PFE at all, they scuff up in a matter of days if you're not so careful. The last few times I've cleaned the...

Powdered Brewery Wash - so much easier saying this on forum vs. RL. Brewery - not a fan of the word, bit of a tongue twister An iso bath is going to do a pretty damn good job - how do the threads go? I'm careful not to get bud caught up in the threads, but sometimes it happens - and PBW allows...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

late to the party but what a treasure trove!! This is going to be one heck of a grinder! Green brilliant cut-ness and different coloured grind plates is what I have been super excited about since talking to BCG, this is going to be one sweet product. GUI to Grinder brilliance. The quality...

It just doesn't need that long, if it's pre-rinsed and agitated in solution or when coated. Redunking subsequently is more effective than soaking too :) Using very hot water and stirring the PFE with a utensil is a good way to speed up the process. Just boil the kettle and shake the PFE around...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

cleaning the front-ends with PBW makes a noticeable and favourable improvement to the rate of clogged-ness as compared to an alcohol solution. It's very quick and easy to wash the PFE; grab tongs and hold the PFE MP up under a hot tap water flow remove from stream and tongs plug one end with...

So after 2.5 years, or near enough, I discovered last night that the GH doesn't have any polarisation protection! Don't put the batteries in the wrong way, holy fuck! I'd go as far to say that this would explain the few instances of burnt out devices. I was pretty baked and grabbed a battery...

That sounds like a good time! I actually got to use an analog volcano last week. Clunky bit of kit that manages to be stylish. It really does look like like the top of the GH mouthpiece on steroids. I’m not a huge fan of bags, though that’s what tied me back over to vaping after using the EQ...

yeah! I'm a massive pot head in general. The sale price made it too tempting, and it's very hard to have any regrets with the purchase. The poly-chromatic Ti is exceptional, the engraving is very worthwhile (reminds me, going to get my others tatted too, looks wrong without it). I'd be...

I've been using my housemates hopper over the last few days. The lucky bastard has again got a really good unit (his other is stuck in limbo but was a scorching beast with nearly 2 years under its belt), the new one is the same age as mine, a 4/20 HT, it gets darker ABV than mine and milks up...

The chirping noise is pulse width modulation, or power-line communications. It's normal to be able to hear it, though it's often only a faint noise. Hot back ends and flickering lights seem to indicate power delivery issues, which might make PLC inaudible, though it must still be working...
