for the record, still no dice

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

Sounds like they didn't have the latest firmware live via the app, so 'updating' did the opposite. Perhaps the first time it was reported/noticed... I wonder what improvements to connectivity were made, sounds interesting. Probably just related to Bluetooth

    What’s up with imgur?

I’m on my iPad and nothing from imgur will load on FC. I’m sure if I made a post like this on the iPad, it would appear to work entirely; Well, actually it didn’t lol - I was going to say it’d appear to work and on another device, it would be broken. But it’s straight up broken. Imgur is...

    What’s up with imgur?

Sorry, I think I missed a step where you do indeed need to click on the thumbnail before right clicking to view in a new tab, that will give the full resolution image. That's what I get for relying off my 'memory', glad you figured it out :) I'm not seeing any of the Imgur attempts.. What I...

    What’s up with imgur?

that's a lovely looking set up! FWIW I generally don't bother with any of the available tinypic settings, I find a landscape image at its default size works reasonably well. I have had an issue with rotated images rendering in different orientations on different devices, that was on my old...

    What’s up with imgur?

Hmm.. I have used it on my desktop before. I don't think the process was any different. I mainly use my mobile (which takes the pics). I don't have an account, the advantage to having one is being able to keep all your pics together (I think that's it). I simply; -Navigate to tinypic.com...

    What’s up with imgur?

I've nearly always used tinypic for hosting images for forum posts. It's quick, easy and free. It has had an issue once or twice with their server dropping, but I've noticed most of my posts still render images, even from years back. Most other uploads from other hosts disappear. This could be...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

 Bloody hell... Hope they get back to you soon and actually properly sort out your warranty case. I think you should at least see if the new SS body functions as it should, it’d be a good indicator as to what to expect round 3. It’ll clean up just fine for when it’s returned. If it does...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

The two units here from April have the dots, so I'd suspect it's the latest component spec. It'd make sense they'd indicate something, who knows what beyond alignment. But they might not signify anything important at all, it could be the exact form from the previous bill of materials but a...

The newest back ends seem to have white dots on the clicker mechanism. Look above the 2 and H

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I have one of these. I don't use it much as I don't use the normal front end after getting the PFE.. But the 3D printed bubbler is pretty nice. It's undyed PLA plastic with a 4-hole perc and a robust spill proof design. It rips. Mine came with a syringe, it's designed for a specific water...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Well really they should package better.. Not the first time they've claimed transit issues, packaging for RMAs is typically quite poor from HL. New units are much better protected. It partially depends how it's received by HL, I sent it packaged in its box once, now I just send it as is and it's...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Yeah, luckily for me my hopper itself was hitting me that hard last night. I was going to power the Sub up last night for the first time since getting a hopper again, but I just didn't need to. I was also tempted by a friend's tobacco and hydro mix, but much preferred the hopper which is a big...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I thought mine was running a bit cold at first. It still is, compared to what is possible. I also wasn't used to convection after months off using mostly the Sub. I have a Tubo now, and the hopper is on par, though I run my Tubo at 225, 230 from a cold start. My GH seems to fairly reach 210°...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I don't care for direct hits at all, not really. Simply because of the heat and harshness. Though I do find though, when stealth is most required for myself, I find I don't want to be taking more than a couple of hits, and for that the GH is bearable. On a cold day or in high altitudes it's...

Recent Acquisitions - Post Your New Pieces Here

Glad the piece is okay! Hope the paws aren't too sore, or that you didn't pick the inserts up by hand ? Edit: I reread and I think I misunderstood. The inserts stayed in place.. but didn't explode due to water chill

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

alright, I just tried with a partially unscrewed PFE - no dice, still no sparks.. Furthermore, twisting the PFE on (tight) and off (loose) had no effect on the hoppers clicking sound, I don't think there is any electrical interaction happening. It seems weird that any could be.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I guess it's possible, but I'd say it's unlikely. The component in question was the 3D printed heater. The original design had a temp sensor mounted at the exposed end of the heater, and HL's in house heater has a different temp sensor elsewhere. I'd guess that the OEM wouldn't comply with the...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I don't think this should be happening at all... @Hjalmark I just got some batts off the charger, I'll turn the lights out and see what happens. You see sparks if you turn it on in the dark whilst holding the body?

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I've never noticed that before... That sounds weird, are you holding the PFE when it does this? Must be grounding somehow? My PFE gets real hot with general use, hard to touch after killing a bowl. But I've never noticed any other heat source at the front, just the heater
