    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I've owned and serviced hoppers beyond the Storz & Bickel warranty period, which was something I took into account when purchasing. The GH cost less and my original pre-order has been great. I expected to still be using it today, and I am. It hasn't been smooth sailing, but it has been overall a...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I wonder if they'd bothered to consider where their money was going upon initially spending it, if they'd be less annoyed with themselves or the company/brand? Others would just expect a small start up type experience and see the rationale, limitations and innovations at play. (also the...

    Sapphire by storm

I mean, I wonder how that thing would compare to a GH let alone a Sublimator... hard to believe for sure, even from Vapefiend. Their first post claims it "Performs pretty much exactly like the Spirit, but half the price!". . . Seems like hype train marketing by attacking something previously...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

Okay, right. They’re tapered. There’s no tight spaces, everything is engineered to relieve compression. It isn’t eradicated, but it’s as good as it gets. This is a stupidly oily plant we’re dealing with after all. My grinder above has blasted some ounces and it feels as good as new. Still early...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

Hmm. To further clarify, in the act of retrieving the herb it’s not impossible to end up with herb on the magnet. Otherwise none would get there, although maybe some kief could find it’s way there if it’s shaken with ground herb inside, or upturned in a pocket.. The magnets do not meet, so the...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

Not so much a problem, but it is a thing. I load herb chambers or a 'dankshank' over my BCG and always sprinkle herb on the magnet, and it can get a bit squished if closed. I don't know, but it seems like there must be a tiny bit of clearance between the magnets when the grinder is closed, so...

Newbie Question: Is Dabbing a Form of Vaping?

with crystalline extract and the right conditions and temp, sure why couldn't it? Given the general dynamic of vaping, it's unlikely you'd sublimate an entire sample, given the general size. But it could be vaporisation, and also sublimation, for sure. Sublimation isn't so fancy, I don't think...

Newbie Question: Is Dabbing a Form of Vaping?

It seems like "dabbing" is effectively vaporisation (conduction source), but it could also be sublimation if it's from a solid form, like 99% crystalline yields or whatever. Yet the gas from high-temp dabbing could also be beyond vapour if you reach critical temps.. which looks to be ~610 C...

Is cooling of the vapor worth it? is glycerine coolable/freezable coil for this purpose worth it?

cooling of the vapor is pretty critical really, as ~200 degrees Celsius is roughly the target temp, and is quite hot. Some vapes will have inbuilt cooling units, others will have various length vapor paths - differences that result in varying heat signatures from each vape. Some vapes, like the...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I got the StemPod out last night and had some enjoyable rips. It’d been a while so it was nice and the different signature was good. But compared to the hopper... just not nearly as slick, energy efficient or powerful. Almost as fast and convenient though, despite the weight and size difference...

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

Yeah, I have a light blue coarse plate and would imagine the brilliant cut in that colour would look really good. Can't go wrong with any colour, absolutely spot on spectrum. I'd love to behold the full line-up. I've just recently used my SLX since getting the BCG, and I'm surprised that it...

    Herb Grinders

They really are, but they're also inferior to spending the time with a bowl and scissors. Much quicker though. It really depends on what you like. The Lift I think would be ideally suited to those with limited dexterity due to the fly-wheel type grinding set up, but it's less interesting to me...

    Herb Grinders

SLX vs. BCG Coarse plate. The old SLX feels grainy to turn and, I'll say it, out-right awful in use by direct comparison. I've praised it a fair bit before, and still, both chop up just fine, the end result is really pretty good, either way. But after buttery smooth grinding action for almost 7...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

sorry :( I'm glad it's not up to me to fix it! I have much hope though. things are ticking along, it'll pan out In the mean time, it's all about cannabis anyway. And the BCG is super nice, stable and unchanging!

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

The StemPod and the TUBOx can both be used fairly rapidly, but it's not really the same. Both benefit from a heat soak. The GH is the only vape I know of that is good to go as quickly as a few seconds from a cold start. Most vapes benefit from a warm up or improve over the session. Having to...

    Herb Grinders

seems like with the BCG, tough buds make it harder to place the lid on. Needs a bit of force to be pushed in place, as per normal with these designs - but, as soon as you turn it, it just buzzes into the desired size without any effort. I have many times had to re-open the SLX after pushing on...

    Herb Grinders

It's definitely expensive when compared with Chinese mass produced grinders, i.e. most grinders, even SLX. But I will say I don't miss having a screen section. I'm still able to scrape up kief from the BCG chamber walls for a potency kick, and I was never one for cleaning my grinders, including...

ring of glass stuck in gong-joint

yeah you're not wrong. I guess the difficulty really lies in that it's nested in glass you'd want to remain intact, so that kind of limits the thermal possibilities

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

All my hoppers work without a front end. I sent them to be fixed without them though, but my newer unit is the same. Not too sure what the story with this front end stuff is, seems like there is a questionable assembler who can't get it right
