HerbRipper XL is a true 3 piece with a deep bottom section. There is additional grinding plates coming soon, I have the fine and I'm waiting on the coarse. There should be 3 piece BCG XL coming soon as well.

Has anyone else grabbed their MV1, taken a couple draws, wondered why there isn't any vapour being produced and then opened the door and discovered no crucible. I definitely haven't done that more then once :p.

With my Omnivap I find it loses flavour more quickly than the Z. Both produce huge hits and it could all come down to my heating technique but my vapcaps are kept for fast extraction and the Z is for lengthy but flavorful hits. Not that the Z is slow by any means. That's just how I use it...

@Spelaeus I find the fine plate takes more grinding for everything to fall through compared to the medium and the same thing for the medium compared to the coarse, however, I don't have any issues with chunks getting stuck and having to be moved. I ground up some super sticky Gelato a few days...

I prefer the medium plate for my MV1. The fine works better on the M. So you should just get the kit :lol:

They're around 4 weeks for turn around last I heard (a week ago).

It came out fairly similar to the BCG medium. Next time I'll spread my bud out a little more. I was going to take some macro shots but all my SLR batteries were dead.

Here are some comparison pictures of the grinds from the BCG fine, medium, coarse, Herb Ripper XL fine and medium (coarse not in my hands yet) and a cheap Chinese knockoff grinder. Both fine plates grinds are very similar, and the medium on the HerbRipper is more fine then the medium on the BCG...

With small nugs I can turn it with one finger as well. The lack of resistance is mind blowing for me. Again with small nugs sometimes I can't even tell that I grinded anything because there is zero resistance. The design of the grinding chamber probably accounts for most of this but I think...

@Manity I started using postimage.org after @Summer recommended it. It's my favorite so far, very easy to use. I was thinking just herb but yeah post your plates too. Gummed up plates are not a complaint I have ever come across with the BCG, mostly small details like the center post gets in...
