I think you know the issue, poor contact somewhere? You even said "you could see the ohms just shooting up", you can't hardly blame the poor machine for tilting out when that happens. It's not limited here I've been fighting the same deal (jumping to power mode) with QQ and think I've finally...

It's been suggested and tried. IMO it works OK, but tends to catch going into your pocket and get pulled out (not much holding it, really). I tried cutting it down so not so much foam was sticking out to catch and it got pressed in too far to pluck out. A string through it fixes that...

Great, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I just used mine again a few hours ago in fact and can confirm it still works just fine........ Not as flexible as Solo/Air perhaps but it's got the 'tiny little vape' thing down and delivers like it's bigger brothers. I still am awkward with it...

Since you ask, yes I know that's the case. In the days I used to teach this kind of thing, you could find it in your text and therefore expect it on the final....... Of course it's more accurate used correctly. If I say 'battery' you know there is two or more cells. If I say 'D cell' you...

As you wish, but just 'because everybody does it' isn't support for spreading ignorance when it can be avoided I think. FWIW folks say 'decimated' a lot when they mean 'destroyed' or 'damaged' but want to sound smarter? Look it up. It means when Roman Legions would fail or otherwise...

It's not only possible, but commonly done with cotton. No, the cotton doesn't burn at even 428F. Some guys go all out (Japanese specialty being considered the best, see the e-cig guys......). On suggestion from our very own @Vitolo I use 'common Medical Grade' cotton I steal out of vitamin...

You could use the T/C to calibrate the Pyrometer (change e values until they agree). In a disagreement IMO the T/C trumps, one of the reasons they're preferred in the related industries. IR has coupling and emissivity issues. My advice remains use T/Cs if you can. Good luck. OF

No, it's not. Finish counts big time as I said above, and we know the color is not 'right' for SS........ And that still leaves FOV issues..... Good luck. OF

IR Pyrometers (the full name) are OK if (and that's a big if....) you have the right emissivity constant to feed it. Cheap units use a default (.95 IIRC) but as you can see it varies widely with material and finish: https://www.thermoworks.com/emissivity_table...

This one should work fine. I've had one for five years Amazon claims. I'm not sure if it's the one I loaned out or the one I can't find (the other is similar, single channel). This one even comes with two probes. Be advised, not all do degrees F...

Any chance of getting a stem or two in the package before it leaves (I'm happy to send it to whoever is sending the package to you. Cutting small bore glass tube is easy. Don't mess with fire and oil soaked strings and stuff. Instead file a nick where you want to cut (a heavy scratch will...

If you take the stem off and invert it, the center section will mate up with 14mm GonGs like it was on purpose...... FWIW I wrapped a bit of Plumbers Tape (white Teflon tape used to seal water connections and stuff) so the rim wouldn't get scratched. Start out with the normal heating routine...

Most cool news, more so for your survival than Solo's. Congratulations on what I'm told is a truly life changing experience. Conscious or not. In a misspent youth I used to repair Defibrillators and EKG scopes. Scary powerful machines, literally fatal in the wrong conditions. A lot went to...

Gentle Friends, So I emailed Arizer and asked.... A nice lady named "Amy" responded very quickly and after telling me ArGo had no significant problems (OK, I goofed up the model.....) she answered my error code 5 and 7 question thus: The error codes in the Solo II typically indicate possible...

While there might be exceptions none of mine display "really increased friction". I only checked a few but all have notches cut into the rim, meaning that it doesn't touch there anymore, it's still smooth (fire polished) glass on SS where the contact is made? If push came to shove the steel...

I disagree a bit with this advice. While there's reason to avoid twisting the stem WHEN FULLY INSERTED (to avoid twisting the cup inside the oven and stressing the leads?) it's basically impossible to insert them in many cases past the seal without twisting. To the point of damaging the seal...

A 'Softhead'? One of 'them'? Oh, well, we're all vapists here? In your defense I suspect you were younger when you started down that troubled path? I used to envy the Software guys. Rewrite a few lines of code (I understand that's not trivial....), burn a new PROM and you've got a different...
