@amberevil try a flat-bottomed gold metal coffee filter, after your sieve, and before the paper filter. 95% of your sludge should stay in the metal. I found coffee filters way too slow, so stopped using them as the metal seems to catch it all. Someone on another forum recommends a layer or...

For filtering I have a kitchen sieve on top, followed by a metal coffee filter. Usually this is enough of a strain for my stuff to come out clean... For smaller batches I've started using an Aeropress, with either the paper filter or a 60 micron metal screen...

I'm on the Grasshopper preorder as well (c'mon blue Ti!). I've also just pre-ordered the Inhalater INH06, because the 5 and 5S were such great units. On the plus side I *think* I have all the vape I need now. Although I've said that a couple of times before...

I don't know much about candies, other than choco, which I make with cocobudder as well as tincture. I find that with tincture you don't really have to treat it as an ingredient. I just add a few eye-droppers-worth to whatever I'm making and it turns out dandy...
