    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

If you don't want to open it to fix it, you might be able to release the MP with a paperclip or some kind of poking tool. The catch is behind the tube when the light is facing you. Just stick something down alongside the stuck MP stem and try to pry the catch off of the edge on the MP stem while...

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

I like your method, but I think she was talking to this guy: I have to admit I tried to take apart my MP but I was pulling so hard it felt like it could break... how hard was it to take the stem out of your MP?

Yeah I definitely agree, how long are your two seshs though? I used to used a stopwatch app on my phone to time how long it was actually heating for and got around 60 mins, is yours less than 30 mins total?

Discontinued Thermovape Cera (Original thread, closed because of chaos)

With the kind of large batteries the cera takes, I think that sp2 is going to kick ass. Mainly because it has a 2 amp (2000ma) charge mode, that should charge the cera batteries from flat in under two hours!(about one and a half hours for a 3000mah battery) The wp2 has a 1 amp maximum (1000ma)...

Nonreplacable lithium batteries are always going to be a limiting factor unfortunately. They last about 3 years if you use them or not and when they get warm (like being right next to a 400F oven) they lose capacity... surely Ploom realized this when they decided to give a 10yr warranty? I think...

Discontinued Thermovape Cera (Original thread, closed because of chaos)

Pila is a bit expensive, I like the xtar wp2 (jam has one too) it has fast and regular charge modes and you can use it as an emergency phone charger (it has a USB port that it can power from a battery without being plugged into the wall)

Ok so the multimeter just brought up more questions... The voltage is 3.3v between the catch and the actual spring and the current is less than a milliamp (I couldn't measure it) The inner tube does not have a voltage but seems to play a part in the circuit. It's possible the spring has 3.3v...

Discontinued Thermovape Cera (Original thread, closed because of chaos)

At first I thought you were being sarcastic lol. (My first thought was ah hah they are using semi conductors! LEDs are reliable little buggers) But actually he has a point about the switch, LEDs are also dirt cheap so surely the lighted switch is similar in price to the regulars $50? Not the...

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

Yes I agree it's a bit puzzling but I'm positive the problem is the outside surface of the inner tube (or maybe the top of the spring... lol like I said it's puzzling) getting contaminated with resin. I'm thinking the area where the spring is just too hard to get 100% clean... I'll use a multi...

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

Aww that does suck... I carry my pax with my keys and it doesn't have a scratch on it, she'll take it (and apparently dish it out to friendly electronics too...) I think the circuit goes: inner tube > MP > catch/hook I think the area that breaks contact is if the MP can't contact the inner tube...

Thanks for the inside info! But if auto mode works well on tobacco doesn't that mean it will over-roast cannabis?

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

I guess it takes a bit of electrical knowledge: Metals conduct electricity because their electrons are free to move and flow over other metal molecules. Electricity is just a bunch of electrons flowing in a direction. Plastics and glass (and cannabis resin) don't conduct because their electrons...

I have an account there too from when I helped do the Omicron page. The pax doesn't require THAT level of instruction but you're right and a cleaning tips page would be a nice, short answer to 90% of the problem posts in this thread... thanks for taking the initiative!

I remember someone saying it didn't turn green and got too hot, but they also said it was only once. I think I've seen it too but I might be wrong: sometimes if it seems like my Pax is taking a long time to heat up I push the MP in until it turns white and sometimes it comes back on green. I...

If you're an ex-smoker I'd lean towards the Pax. Pack your stuff down solid and it just keeps giving you clouds. If you're a lighteweight/want to conserve then maybe check out the Cera, they have a bunch of videos and tbh I was only really impressed with the oil version... the Pax can blow...

Look at the kind of comments there are, mostly health food types, "all man made chemicals are likely toxic" I'll give them alcohol but what about medicines that are proven to save lives? I don't really want to use the lube because it sounds messy, but I'm sure it's safe to use on the pax...

Fill it full and then pack it down flat with your finger or end of a pen. Depending on how fluffy your stuff is you should have a pretty thin layer on the bottom, some people go with this load but I prefer to repeat at least once more. I like the oven is about half full when packed solid...
