Until you get it working again, you can take the mouthpiece out and put it in the charger to charge or take it off and it'll be turned off. I don't use the lube. Did you try it before applying the lube.?

I most likely use mine less than the average person so I guess I don't see the problems that heavier users do. The solid valve does seem to produce good results!
