I can't answer that question , my Solo has been in use everyday since I got it last July/12 . You ' may ' come into the same fate as me with my Solo . But it is solidly built and the battery can be replaced , the battery has a 1 year warranty IIRC . Too bad about your Puffit , Speaking of...

I hope the high temps will be sufficient for doing budda/waxes/oils . Since it sits in an oil/can first , then placed on top of the glass cooking chamber . ( I think ) It sounds like 2 glass layers to heat up ?

Ya, that doesn't sound good . Especially if you can't heat up . I believe the battery has a 1 year warranty on it , so maybe it's time to activate your warranty . imo At least , it sounds like a battery problem .

Wow , so many posts to catch up on . But ya , + 1 , on the budda/waxes/oils reviews please . That is the main factor for me , the ability to vape both flowers and oils in an ALL glass air path . My Solo is great for flowers , but I would like to have the Ascent and compare . Anyone ? Bueller ?

The green light will stay on when fully charged , the first charge up will take longer . ime And it sounds like you interrupted the charging , to ' test ' turning it on , not a big deal . ime So you might as well do the ' burn off ' sessions at level 7 , until you get rid of the electronic smell...

These are good times , Between the Ascent and the Sublimator and even the Herbalizer . We the ' vaping community ' are heading in for an excellent summer .....I hope .
