I don't think there's anything to worry about with the battery contacts. If the rotation of the dial was causing scuffing, it would be in a circular form matching the positive terminal of the battery. I did test the rotation of the temp dial when I first heard about it and it does indeed rotate...

I would recommend all of those. You only need the high temperature titanium tip o-rings, they are the only ones used in the omni. Degummed hemp fiber or a torch might be a worthy addition. I would order some spare airtight storage tubes for the omni just in case. Not the snap stash, the ones...
