Indeed.........I shelved it. Then I used the milaana, volcano,the ssv,the lsv, and the stickybrick. None of them are as "good" (to me) as the alpha dog. The shelving lasted less than half a day.......gave the beeswax time to soak in some. Also ran a couple other logs and that was a comparative...

Finally shelved the alpha dog..........for exactly one bowl,one bag,one wand a different bowl and then another different bowl. Alpha is still the best vaporizer I own by quite a long way. Super jazzed to see the next one @underdog.

Yes the frit was all uneven creating a gap. I have a box full of wands different heater covers and the quality is great mostly but some have flaws. Hand production pieces will have wider variations?

Inserting? 🙊 Made some ridiculous 13 wrap coils out of 22 gauge kanthal wire. Takes a full 9 seconds to show color from a cold start but that mass........milky. Took around 5 minutes to make and another 2 minutes to install and will last months of heavy use. 👌

The dlx has the steel sleeve connector the 22 is wood on wood. The jackpod slides into the standard 18 bowl.

Mahogany has a slight wood taste. Walnut as @Shit Snacks stated. Santos palisander also has a nutty flavor. All go away over time with the 18's seemingly to the provide the best user experience for me compared to the 14 and 22 units. The dlx glow looks intriguing but I am gunshy now. 🍉

How would you compare it to the weedeater? The reason I nave not bought a weedeater from you is I am waiting for this one. However if the experience is different enough both are essential items I reckon. 🖖
