I'm sure it is primary convection, but the ammount of vapor I see teaming out of the top of this thing tells me it's more than a little radiant heat. The bud in the chamber seems to constantly be at least hotter than vaping temp.

Update, unground .5ish no crucible straight too 400 and a few whip hits first. Through a 12inch beaker, much nicer then I orginially gave it credit for. Yea, I would consider at least 90% daily use to be the bench mark for most stoners. Most stoners I know will smoke unless out or on a t break. I'll smoke when I'm not working or driving; when working away I typically do 12+ hour days but will vape in the morning and then rip it into overdrive...

The price has a lot to do it for me, if it were more expensive I like the fact I could still get nicely medicated with less herb. Given I use 1-2 grams a day, herb being around $10 a gram in ounces. Ciggies being $26 for 20 and coffee $5, a beer at the pub $5ish and a large Big Mac meal like $9...
