Mine has started to crack. Since it's made of wood and gets hot this can happen. We'll see how bad it gets. If it goes out of service I luckily have a few backup vapes. :)

Today will be day 3 of me letting it run all day. Yesterday it did seem less smelly then day one. I'll see how today goes. When you hit it the taste is great so the smell doesn't effect the flavor much.

I can't tell for sure so I'm going by smell. I'll use it for a few weeks then take it apart and inspect it.

Turn it all the way up. Wait 30 mins and try again. Mine also smells like heated wood when on. It doesn't get hot enough to char the wood as far as I can tell. I've left mine on on full power for several hours as a test. I will keep torture testing mine as a service to Wes and the community.

I would love to take it apart and see the heat exchanger but so far I've been a good boy. :/

The dial needs to turn pretty far before it starts making heat. It maxes out at 18 watts. Im gettng nice brown ABV at 14 watts. The kill a watt is pretty handy for vaporizer use. Getting my camera out now for picture time. :)

It depends on how you look at it I guess. I'm an athlete and have a bigger then normal lung capacity. I am appreciating that the OCD is able to fill them. :D

A cheap 50 watt iron with chisel tip, silver bearing solder, good flux and your solder will melt on that cell like butter on a pancake. I solder 12 guage wire directly to them. I'm using a 4 cell pack to power my roomba. :)

I think a used volcano would fit the bill. I am forced to use mine in a freezing garage. My preferred setting works the same as if it were a warm day. The volcano is very consistent. I recently got one (a classic) on eBay for within your price range.

It might not be the most effecient but if you value your health it is the safest. It will never over cook the herb and is always consistent. Your PD works at a higher temp so you might get more vapors but also more harmful chemicals because part of your stem is getting close to combustion. I...

The PD comes with a plug to hook it straight to a car cigarette plug. When running a car is putting out 13-14 volts through the electrical system. hmmm

The light is a lightbulb letting you know the condition of your battery. As it dims your AA is depleting. It can fail and is not a warranty issue since it doesn't effect the function of the box.
