You definitely don't need a new mid-section! You might need to check the air flow? There is an easy way to test the perfect air flow. Try to block the three air intakes with your fingers while sucking on the mouthpiece. It should be almost air tight, the only air coming in should come through...

Thanks for the compliments! These woods are on the CITES list of endangered species and can't be shipped legally without a special certificate anymore. I don't have such certificate and only use these woods if delivered and picked up from the workshop by the client itsself. vapman
