Looks more like an IQ than a starry to me.

I prefer the v3 cap since it matches and you don't have to modify anything. As long as it doesn't crack I'd recommend that. I doubt it but the Alternate comes with its own loading tool that works really well.

Im not even a little worried about the use of an aluminum bowl.

Seems to just be cosmetic. Someone else reported it affected air flow but I haven't experienced that yet on either unit.

Well my replacement Alternate that I've used less than 15 times has now developed cracks in the same spot as my old one. I've used only the official v3 mouthpiece and been EXTREMELY careful. This is ridiculous.

That sucks. Here was the message I sent to and received from them.

I've had no problem disassembling and reassembling my V3 top cap multiple times.
