Hmmm I have never heard of any writing on the Ssv element I am pretty sure most tell the proper position by where it sits in the heat cover. The element should be even or slightly above the bottom of the hole in the heater cover that mates with the wand.

Earwax is fine, you just want higher grade concentrate that melts cleanly ie wax, shatter, pure gold, budder, taffy, etc

I think most of those are a simple cam lock you can remove and pick up another at a lock smith or hardware store

Could probably run it through a filter (100 microns maybe) when it's still in the solvent to clean it up of plant matter particulates. More work then most want to do but a viable option nonetheless to have a good night time med in a dart or something similar.

The second extraction thru ethanol isn't necessary it will remove the fat and waxes from your bho making it more potent and IMO healthier but doesn't have to be done. As far as the butane extraction we have a cpl write ups on them here already, it's all basically the same except for purge...

The ssv is supposed to have a bit denser vapor i have not tried both to compare myself but one or both of the holes in the heat cover of the ssv is supposed to be a bit smaller then a dbv's giving a higher vapor to air ratio :D
