I would think cleaning any grinder with qtips would be considered a form of unreasonable punishment under the Geneva Convention. Soak them in 99% Iso for a half hour, rinse w/a touch of dawn and my BCG’s are like new every time.

Also, as I’ve noted before the standard cap ‘zones’ we are familiar with in Dyna style devices are inverted. I find if you use a set amount of heat time at the air holes you get tasty light roast, use the same heat/time and move it up to low-mid bowl and you get dark roast.

One note for my timings, I tend to be relaxed with my ritual. I’ve noticed if I try to power through a bowl with these settings it gets very dark (no combustion); so if you’re not taking your time with things you might shave a second or two off :)
