I left the cap off both my Solo's because I had read this thread. It made no difference. Either some of us are more sensitive to this smell/taste or it's only a few problem units. Funny I got 2 in a row, maybe it IS the former.

I got my replacement Solo today, the first one had the problem you describe and so does this one. This one didn't smell from the start like the other, but as soon as it heated up it did. 5 full temp cycles later and it's worse now I think. Both M104's if that's important. I'm done with the Solo...

Ok, I guess you can compare anything you want Frederick. :) I got my care package from 7th Floor, it was much more than I expected, props to Chris & 7th Floor!! It seems to me that the Fatty has a less restricted airflow than the Saturn, but I would still take the Saturn any day over the Fatty...

I got my blemished VT in the mail yesterday. The blemish is a tiny fleck of glue floating around in the glycerin. It's like the size of a small fly's wing. I think I can live with it... :-P
