What if the big name glass blowers flipped it on the Chinese makers and started offering higher quality knockoffs of the D020 and GB series? They could make them cost 25-50% more than what DH vendors charge and still be more in line with what 'regular' consumers are willing to pay and offer us...

Welcome to FC. I don't know where you live but I wouldn't get your hopes up for the delivery date you expect, but if you actually get it by then, make sure you report about that here, that's awfully quick for DHgate.
