Just bought the cnmenglass egg thanks to @GSH 's video and the fact that it was basically the same price as the kathy egg I got a while ago. Love my kathy egg but I am stoked to have a good looking egg.

Can't say I really know what you're talking about. The reason I suggested earplugs is that I figured that differing perc sound might give away which is American and which is Chinese, but sound has no real effect on function.

I would love to see videos of glassblowers hitting USA/Chinese pieces blindfolded/earplugged and then forced to pick which is better. Not saying they would pick the Chinese pieces, but I just doubt they would be able to tell the difference. Kind of like the Pepsi Challenge from back in the day...

I used one for a bit and it worked ok. If I were you though I would pick up a cheap Chinese ceramic nail as I used one of those until I got my e-nail and it worked great. Or a cheap quartz banger.

Draw speed, whether you pack your material down, how often you draw, and how much you pack in a bowl could all affect the amount of visible vapor. If you didn't pack your material down, and were drawing aggressively and often it wouldn't be surprising that you weren't getting much visible vapor...

That is just what is displayed when your order is shipped, or at least a tracking number has been generated and the item was marked as shipped (sometimes there is a bit of a delay before it actually gets into the mail system).

I think a smaller size would be easier to hold onto. Or certain stickers might make it easier to hold. Not sure if I would upgrade from the 5.0s to the mini or the pro tho, but as I only have the one temp version I feel it is worth the upgrade. Bummer about the oven light being gone, but I think...
