Lil throwback. Was finally able to grab a FW5. Always lusted after that multiple chamber integrated design. And question for current and former owners: do you find extending the mouthpiece requires a lot of effort? Bit surprised how hard I had to pull it out.

Honestly I'm mystified by your experience here. And by reports of flavor/smell issues of CU. So maybe something did change between small early batch mine was from and first big production run. And I feel you. I've been burned by production models not meeting the quality of pre-production models...

In your case maybe coat the outside of the wood portion of the 8mm adapter version and then use something like a Simrell or Dynavap metal stem. Or glass. There are also these great stems from Rogue that are great as WPA. They even make carbless ones...

I agree. Have never complained about its flavors. But there are vapes out there that can eke out more flavor

I'm sure there will be a few good options for doing this as YLL and aftermarket folks get rolling on mouthpiece options. I had high hopes for this short ball stem intended for Anvil (from Rogue IIRC) but unfortunately the dimple holding the balls came right where the stock o-ring is located...

My thinking on the praise that the Bowle gets for flavor is that this may primarily due to the excellent cooling from that stem. No need for water ---》more terps and flavor preserved. And cooling maybe makes it more likely that it is run at higher temps with less irritation so some added flavor...

My favorites lately have been from @RogueGuy at Rogue Wax Works. I've got a great two-wood larger handled one that may have been a one-off. But those combo scoop and tamp tools are also sooo great. Well-priced and well made.

Yeah, I don't imagine that would be too tough with sandpaper and/or Dremel type tool.

Mini is a nice all-purpose grind size. I'd use it for all but the vapes that really seem to benefit from a small or coarse grind.

As I've stated before, FW7 dimpled cooling stems and BB6 do not need an additional o-ring. Nice press fit in my chamber. Some other thoughts on using these: These stems also make it a tad easier to preheat. You can have the stem pre-packed and then after running a heating cycle just slide it...

Y'all can back the he'll off with these accusations. I stand by every word I've written about this vape. I was early on the notification list for when this became available. But I'm no rose-colored glasses newbie in this scene. And loads of vapes to compare this to. Mighty (Angus slays it)...
