    Venty by Storz & Bickel

I was thinking the non-removable batts have more to do with consistent performance. Using weak batteries or letting contacts get dirty would mess with the predictable S&B experience (imagine the reviews!). But with fast charging and how far a single charge gets you I'm certainly not craving...

Agreed, they just need 2 simple changes: 1 - Boost mode timer should extend using the (now reliable) draw sensor or quick press of the power button. 2 - When boost mode times out (after warning you first with vibrations) it should just switch off because there's no point in dropping back to the...

That impression could be down to the smoother & faster extraction of the Venty. My standard dose size is typically 0.05-0.07g and I hit that without caps or anything in both the Venty and the Mighty OG. After just under a week of testing it seems both vapes get me about equally baked with the...

Not sure if everyone would agree but comfort/cooling seems similar between the Mighty OG and the Venty. The Venty's vapor is a bit more comfortable, but the big difference is you finish the bowl in 1/3 to 1/2 the time so overall comfort is way better. The huge drop in draw resistance also makes...

Hitting 0.07g every hour or two and it handles it perfectly. Definitely good for a range of dose sizes, without needing capsules or bowl reducers or anything

So on my first Venty bowl I actually left it on the default 180C all the way because I normally just leave my Mighty on 200C full time, so forgot to boost. Vapor was visually unimpressive (note: this is a 0.07g or so microdose) so I dumped the ABV in the Mighty at 200C to finish it, cuz I was...

    Micro-dosing

Yeah my tolerance only really builds up on weekends when I hit a bunch of bowls a day, especially if it's full Mighty bowls (rare these days). During the week I just hit a microdose every evening and that keeps the tolerance in check nicely.

    Vapor Consumption Efficiency

I used to exhale just a little at a time then inhale a bit and so on. But while it probably gets you more bang for buck, the difference seems small and it's just more satisfying to exhale it all in one go.

    Micro-dosing

I micro-dose 0.05-0.07g in the Mighty, the Dynavap and the V3 Pro. None of those need spacers or bowl reducers of any sort to work with small loads. When the Mighty ramps up the tolerance a bit over a weekend, I skip a day then go back to the Dynavap. There's just something about it that works...

    Dynavap VapCap

Has anyone compared new old stock of the old caps (ie: ones that have sat on shelves unused since manufacture) to the current ones side by side? Could it be that the heavily used old caps now just click hotter than when they were new?

This is also why slower induction heaters like the Wand hit harder. If you heat it quickly, the discs in the cap get to temp before the heat soaks through the whole tip. Heat it slower and the heat has time to diffuse through the tip by the time the discs get to full temp.

    S&B Dosing Capsules

I think if aluminium exposure was really such a big deal, it would have been obvious long ago in machinists and factory workers. They get exposed to a lot more aluminium dust than we do from vapes & caps.

    Dynavap VapCap

I've always wondered about the difference in clicks. If they're using 2 of the same bimetal discs in a cap (vs two actual different temp ones), the variance in the gap between the clicks is probably a good indication of the temp variance from one cap to another, even within the same generation...

I do, yes. That plus the added screen probably creates some extra fine material. Knowing I can clean that out when needed adds some peace of mind.

@XMAXVAPORIZER Love the new color! So this is what it looks like under the oven screen. My screen was very loose, so I wedged the tip of a pin in one of the holes to get some grip and lift it up a bit, then maneuvered it out with tweezers. Turns out there was quite a lot of very fine ABV that...

For me the main reason to replace the MP screen was keeping the ceramic cooling unit cleaner. With the 60 mesh replacement screen, it needs cleaning far less often than with the stock screen. Restriction might also be less, but that's hard to measure.

It's a pity no one has done a teardown of the V3 Pro yet. The screen in the bottom of the oven looks like it could come out for cleaning, but hard to say whether trying that would damage anything in the process...

There's also user-friendliness to consider when choosing temp steps. Personally I would enjoy using this device a lot more if it could be set so each button press gives a 5 degree change rather than one. That would make temp stepping in reasonable increments far more enjoyable than all the...

I did this too, just in case. Also replaced the stock mouthpiece screen with a fine mesh screen, now the ceramic cooling piece stays much cleaner.
