As I just wrote in another thread, I find it best to heat perpendicular to the opening, with a quad-flame producing the best and fastest extraction. It is kind of breathing trough the flame.

@Vapor_Eyes I do not own a Brick but a vapocane and a dreamwood dlx m and I find the perpendicular heating the best in both of them both in terms of taste, avoiding of charring and getting fast and thick hits. My quad-flame torch produces the fastest and easiest hits.

You close it counterclockwise (counterintuitive) as this pushes the tip of the condenser away from the mp and into the tip, thus decreasing the fresh air intake from the carb.

@Used2use very nice woodwork ;) The outer tube is kept in place by two silicone o-ring types. Depending on the fit (when using the cheap replacement tubes, you can push it through - but only if the lower part is not attached, otherwise that lower cap stops the outer tube from being pushed too...

Get the Vaponic Plus if you want to avoid the crack pipe association. I have a vapcap M, Ti-Woody-S and Omnivap and use them only when I need something unbreakable or as backup. Taste with vaponic is much better and you have unrestricted airflow.

What I forgot to mention: before you go about with alcohol, slowly heat the inner tube from bottom to bowl and let the oil run into the bowl. Then either put some fresh herbs, leaves or some cotton into it and enjoy a hard hitting oil session.

Heat it with your torch and all will dissipate and look like new (DO NOT HEAT THE MOUTHPIECE!). I do this every couple of days.
