    The DAVINCI IQ

Second session with the Honeybird went much better. Just by tilting the device slightly towards your face as you hit it, this allows it to bubble up nicely. I love how cool the vapor is even at 420 F, and no cotton mouth. On the downside, some water dripped down through the mouthpiece, into the...

    The DAVINCI IQ

I got my Nectar Collector Honeybird combo. I'm a noob at vaping with water attachments, so I have some questions. Not sure if I'm using it correctly, lol. I watched this video for reference: I mimicked this guy's method of getting water into the Honeybird by sucking in water from a drinking...

Idk, it could be intentional. They want you to confirm that you want precision mode so you don't accidentally activate it. The cool thing is, if you activate precision mode and leave it there, the vape will remember that and boot up to precision mode the next time.

    The DAVINCI IQ

If it goes back to smart path mode, you didn't activate precision mode. Sometimes you have to press up/down twice (or hold it for a second) to get precision mode to activate. When in precision mode, the current temp stays on the display until you press power again, which sends it back to smart...

It just shows the temperature. From smart path mode, press the power button once (which will display the current temp), and then press the up or down button to change the temp. Then it will stay at the selected temp until you change it. That is precision mode.

Just ordered the honeybird combo...will report back after testing.

Yay, batteries and other cool accessories are in stock. Tempted to get the bubbler...

    Boundless CFV

I'm interested too! I'm looking for a convection based portable that is less finicky than the FF2, and maybe easier to use on the go without having to stir after every other draw.

I don't know, man...maybe that gold finish scratches more easily. My black unit is still scratch free. If it makes you feel any better, the Pax3 has a much worse problem with scratching. You chose the better vape.

One is conduction, the other convection. One is great for groups, the other solo. One is a session vape, the other on demand.

18650 battery safety (moved from the the DAVINCI IQ thread)

I mean, Davinci must have run tests with heating up these batteries inside of the IQ in order to test the limits and determine how safe it is. I would hope that it passed these sorts of tests. The long term deterioration is another story, I suppose...and we're the test subjects!

18650 battery safety (moved from the the DAVINCI IQ thread)

Don't you think the engineers at Davinci tested the battery safety? (I will take your advice and dispose after 4 months, though. I appreciate you looking out for the community.)

So these batteries are only good for 2-4 months before they are dangerous? Does your e-cig get hotter than an IQ?

What do you suggest we do as a precaution?

At what temperature do batteries explode?

    The DAVINCI IQ

Definitely go with IQ over Pax3... The Pax3 seems to be a minor improvement over the Pax2 (or even worse in some ways; see Vape Critic video review), which is vastly inferior to the IQ. In flavor and vapor quality: Mighty/Crafty > IQ >>>>> Pax2/3

The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I recently bought a NewVape Fine Grinder. It works great, but it has the same issue with getting material stuck to it, tbh...

    The DAVINCI IQ

I wish I could help, but I'm just as confused about the battery indicator. My external bat charger often doesn't agree with the IQ meter. Still better than the Firefly2, though. That thing will go from "over half full" to "dead" instantly, lol. Edit: Maybe I shouldn't be talking shit about the...

    The DAVINCI IQ

It just edges the Crafty as an on-the-go portable because you can buy a bunch of batteries, charge them outside the device, and swap them out as needed. This is a major benefit for a vape you take out of the house. Then it has a much better smartphone app, but everything can be controlled...

    The DAVINCI IQ

I too traveled over the weekend and found the IQ to be a great travel companion. At one point I couldn't find my stir tool, but I had a backup ready with the keychain tool. (Turns out the other tool was in my backpack...misplaced it in a high state of mind.) I've owned a Pax1, Pax2, Crafty...
