Oh, just by turning it up from SP2 to SP3. SP2 for 5-10 mins SP3 for 5-10 mins "420 mode" (420° in precision mode) to kill it.

The IQ doesn't require an app for full temp control. You can access "precision mode" simply by pressing the power button once during a session, which then allows you to set the temp on a continuous scale in 1° increments.

I load fresh herbs for every session, just like I would for any other vape. A session can last 10 to 20 minutes. That's one thing I love about the IQ - you can get long sessions, and it delivers clouds throughout. No signs of bowl cracking here.

I had similar issues, and the lid was the problem. I ordered two extra lids, and both created a much tighter seal than the first. Like you said, nothing appeared wrong with the faulty lid, which is extremely annoying because there's no way to know if you have a bad lid until you try vaping with it.

Idk...if somebody claims their IQ is untouchable on SP1, either that unit is very different from mine, or that person has ridiculously sensitive hands (and they wouldn't be able to hold any vaporizer, not just this one). Edit: To be fair, I haven't tried leaving it on SP1 for a long session...

There seems to be a lot of unit-to-unit variability in that regard. Mine has gotten that hot a few times, but only on SP3-4, and that was at the end of a 20 minute session. Others have reported similar behavior to yours.

Hey that's a nifty idea. In my experience, I only get herb in the mouthpiece if I draw too hard. You're supposed to gently pull on the IQ. But this would be really useful for when I'm vaping with that friend who always pulls too hard, haha.
