I brush out the bowl after completion and use ISO every second bowl and haven’t had any issues with the +. I also think the airflow is constricted sometimes but I’ve come to realize I’m just pulling a hit too hard. I also take out the mouthpiece and reseat it to make sure.

Since the batteries are good, it might be the power management software of the device. It can't hurt to do a hard reset if possible, according to the manual: While device is turned off, press all 3 buttons and hold for 10 seconds.
