Mostly true, but I think there may have been some slight changes to allow you to go up and down with the two little buttons once you've entered a setting, instead of having to just go up and then round robin. Also note that for some reason (?) all my settings were reset after updating...

And in light of this, they just uploaded a new version, 3.01. Gotta love Joyetech. Not only upgradable firmware, but a company that actually provides (useful, major) updates. :clap::tup::clap:

I have both the iStick 40W TC and the VTC Mini, and I prefer the VTC Mini.

Haven't tried the black one with the hole-less heater yet, but will report back when I do (probably over the weekend).

What metal type are you setting? (e.g., Ni200). Does your DT atty actually change resistance as it heats up?

In case you haven't had time to read the whole (getting deservedly long) thread, I seem to recall that 10W-12W is the recommended power. Be careful of running it much higher, even when you're cleaning it. I blew out one of mine by excessive duration heating at 15W.

Assuming you're talking about the 0.8Ω version, the numbers are: 10 watts = 2.82V 12.5 watts = 3.16V 15 watts = 3.46V Not all VV batteries can drive a 0.8Ω load...
