My iHeat is beautiful and is made of tulip wood. I had a small tube with a glass insert made of it as well. Even if there's not a group of roasting tubes made of it, Alan will work with other woods if available.

Just wanted to add that Alan makes stems and other wood and glass accessories for other vapes as well. (Like the z among others.)

Dynavaps are considered hybrids not pure convection or conduction. I think this is an individual issue. Over time I've rehomed almost all of my conduction vapes. I have a couple of plug-in logs that I rarely use. My favorites are the Z, which you own, and the Iheat and Nomad. All convection.

Unfortunately too expensive. I'm still hoping to get one at US rates. It's not like I need another vape of any kind but I tend to be addicted to RBT's products.

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I thought that since they are hand made there might be some difference in thickness. I didn't know that mine (named tulip) is thicker because of being a different shape.

The wood being thinner must be based on individual design. Mine is kind of tulip shaped and much thicker than my splinters.
