OP is probably not rinsing the piece enough is it causes issues afterwards. Rinse it 3 times minimum with hot water. Also make sure to fill the whole piece with water so you get the fumes out by displacing them. If it would still give you issues its probably placebo or some iso got trapped...

I was worried about the "tiny flared" mobius mouthpiece at first too, but when I've tried one, I've realized it's actually genius. I can choose to put my lips either inside or outside... ...and both ways it works equally well and is comfortable. That's awesome.
