Mix a bit of kief into the ground herb, don't fill an ELB pure. That would be too messy and restrictive. More herb, less kief.

That's a normal glow you can get during a heat up. If it overheated, it would be more orange/yellow than red and the glow wouldn't be just a faint ring, but a large volumetric glow (that you could see even from a different angle).

With dry tube you've can't take too big hits as its too powerful and would make you cough. It's less smooth but more tasty. You also can't hit it fast or else you will burn your lips. Even a big glass mouthpiece like EVO has can'T cool down a big fast hit from the EVO, the unit is just that...

My newest EVO seems to hit as good after 3 minutes as after a long heat soak. I'm not sure anymore if the heat soak is needed. Also without heat soak it's more of a pure smooth convection. Especially when I microdose lately. Even the 3 minutes heat up can be enough to extract it all in one hit...

I don't think yuo can break the EVO just with the temp dial. It was either an accident (user fault) or overheat (PCB fault). But I'm not sure if I understood tha sentence either.
