Same. It helps when putting on the cap to use a gentle twisting motion. Anyway if one goes there are about a million spares included in the kit!

I do the same and seems to keep the o rings in good condition. Tip: Wait for it to cool down first! I still think the VC with an induction heater is hard to beat for super fast and convenient hits so keeping mine

Agreed about the bamboo tongs. They are useless. Mine actually broke when I put any pressure on the cap to remove it. The bowl is actually larger than the VC. I loaded them both as a comparison and would say visually the Vaphit X is about 50% larger than a 2021m. It is better in nearly every...

The Tasty Tube by Glass Charlie

How did you heat it? Can't imagine travelling with and using a big torch in a coffeeshop 😂 FWIW I also struggled to adjust with the quartz heater and went back to the original glass, which I have the timing worked out for.

You still paying £50? Actually works really well with the Big Buddy. Took me a while to work out how to fill the quartz pearls, use the screen and star as there are no instructions. My VHX also did not come with a screen installed in the mouthpiece so required a bit of trial and error. For me I...

    Vaphit Quartz Cap -

Just ordered the Vaphit X as with the 420 code it’s a no brainer. Surprised how low the postage cost was too. The bigger bowl than a vapcap looks fun! What torch do people use to heat this? I have the Vapman torch, a cyclone triple and a big buddy. Is it similar to TRWW devices in that you heat...

Be careful with using loose stems. I would probably just get new O rings. It's not worth the worry or risk that the very hot heater filled with molten balls is gonna fall off. My glass hula stem is like this so I don't use but the Vaphit DNA stem is a perfect fit

It's just the top of TA4 unscrews so you can easily change the balls. You can still change the balls on the TA3 but is a bit more fiddly as it requires removing and replacing a screen. They are identical otherwise. If you go on Phatpiggie's IG page there is a video where he shows all the...

    Thermal Accumulator by phattpiggie

I recommended this stem a few posts back. It is very good and I confirm it doesn't get hot at all with the TA3. Obviously it is glass so requires a bit of care but overall I am very happy. If you want a wooden stem then there are cheaper options out there but you will probably want a...

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. Used a big buddy torch and it was a much better experience :)

I have used the TA3 a handful of times using a triple torch heating the top half of the heater slowly spinning. I am struggling a little to get consistent results if I am honest. I heat till the tip just starts to glow and often the top of the bowl is a little caught for me with slight burnt...

You could use the TA1 or the other TAs fully open for maximum airflow. I only really mentioned the condenser as the HydraVong stem is unlined so you need it but it is a cheaper solution than a custom stem with built in WPA.

Isn't it a different ID? The TA is 8mm, whereas BFG stems are 9mm. You probably could get it to fit but would need a bit of work changing Orings.

Here are a few of my thoughts on low cost options for stems: I have been using my TA3 with a glass hula stem, which works okay but it does get a bit hot for my liking and isn't the best experience in terms of tactile feel (it's a bit top heavy). I am yet to use the TA with a WPA but I just have...

For some reason I thought the bowl was bigger than a Dynavap bowl, which from my understanding holds 0.1g. In that case gonna have to go full size and no half measures. 😜

How big is the bowl compared to a Dynavap? Also I see you can adjust the bowl by pushing down till click. Is it easy to reduce again? Wondering whether it's easier to just set at max and then half fill. Would it still perform as well? For a Dynavap I never bothered reducing and just put less...

Would a glass dynavap WPA connect to a J hook or use a stem like a BB3?

Thanks. When you say can be both a MTL and DTL do you mean if you have a stem with adjustable airflow? I will reach out to Phatpiggie as he is probably better placed to advise especially as this is a new version.

Yes, you are probably right. My thinking with TA1 was there are no moving parts to fail and the simplicity of the set up. It was my understanding that the airflow between TA1 and TA3 (fully open) were comparable. I guess it depends on how open TA1 is on simple stem with no airflow adjustment. Is...

Thanks for the reply 🙂. Now to decide on TA1 or TA3. Not sure how essential is the variable airflow on such a stem or if the larger heater is necessary
