Sneaky released his review It's not hard to open, since I keep mine quite clean, but I'm a sucker for having the right tool for the right job.

Speaking of battery caps and screwing 🤣, I made more shit, a tool to open and close that dang cap in comfort.

Hi @Summer it's all 3d printed, just something to keep the mind occupied. I'll add my cleaning routine into the mix, I have 3 cu's in rotation I clean each one as soon as I notice restriction. I clean them by way of a 5 minute ultrasonic cleaning in an isobath (keep iso solution in a jar, use...

Had an unscheduled drop test the other day, my gf launched the unit off the couch when moving a blanket, it fell off and landed stem first! This is my only stem sooo... 🤢😨 But I'm happy to report there wasn't so much as a scratch, I fully disassembled the unit to check the internal sleeves...

Mine get toasty too, makes sense, it being the bowl and all. The best thing to do is to make a sleeve that you can touch in lieu of the glass. I saw a tutorial to shows you how to make one out of cork. cork stem On another note, presenting the results of last night's experiments, I think I...

 Yes the screw attaches the body, PCB, and heater to each other. And no there aren't any springs.

Yes, that is correct, the tube is only supported by the single o-ring, I still don't see how any of that causes the screen to get popped out though. Nonetheless, that unlikely event was one of the things I tried to amend when designing my steel chamber insert. I made sure to give the screen some...

For now, I'm just messing around, having an accurate proxy of the TM was step 1 for many processes, making one was a byproduct. Alternate body materials sound tempting but will have to wait, I need to understand a bit more about ceramics 😁

It's really not finished, :rofl:gotta Let things like that age! TM temps should be no problem, I process some of my prints in boiling water, 0 deformation after 30 minutes. Edit: Misunderstood that question, the answer is NO pla can not be used in that way, completely out of its temperature...

The caps are working out great 😌, I managed to find a way to remove the wiggle in the glass stem. Now it's rocksolid. I wouldn't mind sharing an earlier model if there's any interest, that way anyone can print one at home! Ps I was testing making the ring part of the loading process by...

Pla would not be my first choice for impact protection, it does, however, make for a good button insert. The yellow material is tpu. And yes make yourself accessories, the caps are super basic but I'm kicking myself over not having done it earlier, would have saved a few of my stems from an...

Sorry for the silly question, I thought you had already received them, maybe you can find some really fat o-rings that can make up the difference
