Yup! top part gets hot but even after 24hrs of it being on, the bottom is still cold so no worries on it scorching anything. I've left it on with the lid before and then the lid is quite hot but not unmanageable (I've used this to warm up my distillate to transfer containers).

I think the FMJ probably adds a bit of time for cooling so that's one upside to the induction heater. The other "must have" in my opinion is the Reload by Madheaters, The Decapper & Debowler + magnet means no downtime while the tip/cap are hot.
