Generally, I like to have a solid covering of the bottom screen(enough flower that you can't see it) even if shallow, so that the heated air is going thru the flower instead of around it.

Wouldn't the 14mm female Vgoodiez bowl qualify for that? The Joda glass options with a Roffu screen also work nicely and squeeze right into place at a nice distance since the joint tapers.
