    Is Brass Safe?

You have got that right: high standards. You have come to a board where people vape plant material that is in the 'dark sciences' ala harry potter - this is not respected - these ppl are trying to get 'effects' :D. This is also why everyone here is an "aromatherapy abuser" a line you hear often...

    Is Brass Safe?

Glad this was moved. Brass isn't safe for cooking - we know that (my intro up top). The only real question is it safe for vaping. I suppose you don't watch American Idol either. :) Besides willful ignorance and buyer's remorse, we have an over-sensitivity to criticism. Granted, it didn't help a...

    Is Brass Safe?

See, we can stop right there. I am not a machine. In other words, I couldn't care less about how well equipment can shape brass. Just pour whatever metal I am going to be using in my vape into a mold please. I don't. Haven't you inhaled hot vapor? It's hot! I mean there is a quasi-state going...

    The Magic-Flight Box

If there were an LB sticky, it would say that MF has stated repeatedly that the top is plexi and that it isn't going to change. My LB had buildup on the underside but isoed away with tissue. You want to go un-supported and pull the clip and add your own glass, go nuts, but don't be sad w/a...

A Piece of Art: Just got my new Myrtlezap(lots of pictures included)!

Hey, I'm all for a separate discussion if there is one to be had. There seems to be a lot of misinformation put out, over and over again. Finally, I say, show us the expert, that's all. When you see the thread take a funny turn like, "Brass is a cool metal" - you kind of scratch your head a...

    Is Brass Safe?

I have set this thread up in response for a request to move discussion of brass outside of a single vendor's vaporizer. So here it is. Please, anyone, defend using brass in a vaporizer in any of it's parts. Here is a new kickoff: I have had 10 coffee makers in the last 20 years. All of them...

I'm not sure your research is valid either. The brass you describe is used at low-temps specifically. Moreover, all the "brass regulators" I have heard of use an aluminum body and brass internals.

Not to contract "the eterra guy", but let's stick to devices that involve breathing and see what materials are used - space agencies are good - i.e. nasa, esa, etc. Brass on breathing equipment went out w/20,000 leagues under the sea. ;) Very cyber-punk! Not something I would use for more than...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

I wanted to update the thread as my "Purple-Days Experience" has done a wonderful U-turn in the other direction! :) :) :) This was a good lesson in anything worth anything for is worth waiting for. Since this thread is littered w/sidenotes, I'll make a brief personal admission before I get on...

I think he is implying that vaping in general is harmful (tho less so than smoking). This is true. Wild hot thc doesn't roam in the air so when you suck on the tail end of a hot vape - you are going to get whatever bad (and good :D) is inside. The point I and other have been making is that...

Sounds like an upgrade to me - 2 heating sources on the trench! :D I'll be quick to vape before I burn a hole through the box, I swear!

The only way to kill your LB. I think a drop of oil or any concentrate on abv might be ok, but still not supported. I only use regular finely ground plant material in my LB. Is it worth the risk when regular finely ground material works so well? OMFG that would be ! Even if it were a...

I bet Christopher Walken would also make an excellent Metallurgist. We just need to ask him if lead brass is safe on the human body at high temperatures. For quals, here he is building a robot in his garage: http://www.brandonbird.com/lazysunday.html

    The Magic-Flight Box

digglover, please post your experiences! also good to hear from a box newbie. :) kc, that is one of the coolest things I have seen today! I'd love that setup! On the stains, I'd go more than 5 drops of iso and maybe something stronger, but I'd also clean it upside down (as to prevent any from...

    The Magic-Flight Box

Are you a merman or something? Why do you want to run it through water? As long as it's operational, isn't that the point? It's probably ok but the wood is going to degrade, not worth it imo. On a side note, has anyone ever hit the LB on a vapor-bong setup? That would be an interesting read. As...

    The Magic-Flight Box

kc, don't beat yourself up so much! You are a pioneer of the 1st order! Besides, I think oil does work, only you have to put an abv cushion under it and only use tiny amounts. I imagine you had a good time while it lasted tho! Anyway, the carbon buildup should be totally removable. Iso...

    The Magic-Flight Box

kc, bummer. I thought that might have been the case but didn't want to say anything. However, it would be really cool if you would elaborate on what is going on w/your unit and maybe we can do a little public diagnosis. I have wrecked a few LBs and LTs but only because I tore the screen away...

    The Magic-Flight Box

Welcome graywulf! Your name makes me think Dr. Who but your icon invokes Zelda. I think the screen is stainless steel but I know the whole unit is made w/non hazardous materials. There may be duff pics in the old Launch Box Beta thread. Check there for a lot of your follow-up questions as...

Loading Tip: Use a funnel. I forgot to mention this before and wonder how everyone else does it. As I don't like getting my hands dirty (cept' in code :P), I usual use the funnel. If I am out and about, a gram vial/film canister can usually pour w/out spilling. Good material gets your hands too...

Whatever, dude. Both of the references to brass are taken from the aromazap website. You can see plain as day on page 1 of this thread the brass stems (where the plant material and hot air go).
