***Gamers*** What are you playing?

Beat Wukong a few weeks ago, beat Dark Souls 3 a few days ago, and now a good chunk through Sekiro after finally picking it back up after "taking a break"...

Sekiro is definitely some of the best combat I've experienced in a game.
One of those few times where a hard challenge actually feels very fair. Everything else about the game is a joy as well.

There's a streamer I watch who ended up making his own game called "This Is Interesting".

It's a psychological horror where you essentially play through the game multiple times, uncovering something new or different each playthrough, until you finally figure out what it is you're in and how to escape. Highly recommended if someone's okay with a no-name dev, but it is very quality for what it is.
I just platinum’d Sekiro a month ago after first beating it years ago. Not sorry to say but that game gets top 3 in my favorite Fromsoft titles with the others being Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Great game.

I loved Banished so much but did everything in it so am installing ANNO 1800 and hoping it will be similar even if it is different.

I love city building games so much

Started 🇫🇷🚬Clair Obsur: Expédition 33🚬🇫🇷. Early favorite for GOTY!

ReactiveTurnBased_v05.gif

It's turn based combat, but with real time parry and dodge. 🇫🇷Très magnifique!!! This is how it feels when that Cirque du Soleil soundtrack is bumping and you hit a Perfect Parry

Expédition 33 has grabbed me like Elden Ring or Baldur's Gate. A real triumph. Great story/lore/voice acting too.

Not sure why gaymers are crying all the time. Games have never been better:shrug:

I can get a steam key for this for half the price it costs so I might pick it up as a lot of people saying it is really good. I loved the Final Fantasy 7 on PlayStation 1 and 8 and 9 also and I know this is different but is similar so.

I think it's most similar to those games. The animation style and dialogue come across as a little more "adult" (to me) in Expédition 33.

But yeah if you can get it for half off it's a no-brainer. Really good performance on PC too. Impressive all around from a small dev team.

I have put a couple dozen hours in on this over the last couple of weeks and it's one of my top 10 all time so far where I am I believe around halfway through.

It's one of the most visually striking games I've played as well... what gorgeous environments and excellent mdchanics.

The way they've implemented the ability to avoid and even counter the enemy attacks for a turn based system kinda blew me away. I never realized turn based could be so engaging!

Definitely recommend this!

I keep meaning to ask my friend to arrange a gaming night where we all play a racing game on steam and hopefully it is cross platform so we can play with Xbox and PlayStation friends and tell everyone and all race together.

We did things like this in past and all played wow together but would be nothing like wow just casual.

There are a few cheap racing games out that support upto 16 and 32 players so would be plenty of places.

If anything comes of this will post here but I am in UK and they are all in Europe so times would maybe not be good. Will post back about it anyways.

See i do not do much gaming these days as busy with church and gym but would put time aside for something like this.

I can't stop playing souls-games with nightreign right around the corner.

I've been so obsessed, I beat wukong (categorize it however you want), ds3, sekiro, and now ds3 again, and probably going back to ds2 to try that for the first time, or possibly seamless co-op elden ring I've been really interested in.

Hopefully nightreign doesn't disappoint!

This is great news because I played through the base game twice and the DLC and still couldn't tell you what that game is about

It's from that guy who made the terrible recent Civil War movie lol

Another great indie game dropped. There's a Steam demo right now

Really fun combat! Much better than Oblivion. Feels a bit like first person Souls combat

Might sound crazy but this indie is yet another Game of the Year contender. Played through the demo and immediately purchased to support the devs.

2025 is full of 1st person RPG's. I skipped Kingdom Come, dabbled in Oblivion, completed Avowed. Tainted Avalon is definitely better than Oblivion. Probably better than Avowed too (though I loved that game). It's possible this game might be another Baldur's Gate situation. Indie studio comes out of nowhere and redefines a genre. This time Skyrim-likes instead of CRPGs. I just hope the jam packed release schedule doesn't cause this gem to fall through the cracks.

At $45, it's also the best value among new releases so far this year

Owlcat, maker of excellent CRPGs, is releasing their first action RPG. A Mass Effect style game, set in The Expanse universe

I keep seeing more about this. Trailer looks super cool.
Really gives those skyrim vibes but looks much better.

Once my RPG kick inevitably comes back, I'll probably check it out.

Still gotta beat KCD2.

Nightreign has been loads of fun too.

On October 29th, Obsidian presents an adventure made for Capitalism, by Capitalism:

There will be New Vegas style radio stations!

@AJS I didn't see your message, but yeah Tainted Grail is great. Waiting is probably a good idea. Like when BG3 first dropped, the Third Act still needs a little time in the oven. But it's an awesome game. Great writing. And the combat is like Dark Souls 1, but in first person (for the most part).
