My factory 2nd Aroma 3 is on its way and will be my first high end grinder. Is there a need to clean it or are they ready to use out of the box?
They are cleaned after they are machined according to one of the recent YouTube videos he did, however for mine I just did an iso wipe on the inside and put some iso on a qtip to wipe down the teeth which only took a few minutes.

Machine oil and coolant, not to mention swarf, is nasty stuff. It should never be allowed to make it to a customer. I imagine grinders like this are a huge pain to clean well given all the nooks and crannies. The cleaning and stages, as well as the drying racks, really stuck out to me as a nice way to scale up their operation.

Leaving the lids bare without any engraving was a great choice. I specially requested it removed from my Aroma 3, and it's beautiful. Really lets the design of the grinder shine. The OMD grinders are so iconic at this point there isn't any need to obviously brand it.

Hey Everyone!

update time:

I am exhuasted! It's been a full on month. Off to bed for Ben.
That XL looks super nice. I was kinda on the fence about not having the engravings on the top piece but now that I see it in-hand, I think the clean look looks great, especially on the XL

Also, which one of you ballers put there is gonna pick up this bad boy? 👀
