Quick Vestratto Forge induction heater

Got my Forge 2.0 today. I think the power may be dialed down a hair, which I'm pretty sure will make it a little more forgiving and likelier will prove easier to use in the long run. It's also beepier and whinier than before. Regardless, it's an excellent and extremely fast induction heater. I've been happy with the Wand, but this feels like it's operating on a different level taking low-temp hits on the Tempest and Tornado.

I stayed off of amazon after I found out you could easily get counterfeit batteries on there. I went to Home Depot and picked up the m12 battery (combo🤷) with charger. They didn’t have it in stock. I showed them a picture and we ordered it right off the home depot site at the customer service desk. It was about $120 and it was delivered in a few days. Here’s a pic of what I got…

No but, with the two batteries and charger combo you can just cycle the batts. The dead battery will be charged before you discharge the one in use. It took about an hour (1 1/2 hours for larger pack) or so to charge the batt and days to use up all the juice.

I was an early adopter, this replaced the V1. Looks like an add on for new purchases.
I was an early adopter as well and after reading their instagram post I got a lil sketched. Good to know the ww is coming back with the V2.

p.s.
Did you see the tornado stem adapter from the tiny might bowl (guy)? Wheeeew! Look slick!!! Especially on the tempest stem. I hear Vgoodiez might have them soon.

Now all I need is a silver tempest / revolve stem with a rosewood sleeve 👌 goodnight!

How long did everyone's shipping take? I sent mine off from Atlantic Canada three weeks ago CanPost/USPS, Tracking says it got through the border and customs, but hasn't moved for the last two weeks.

I'm in the USA, but I sent mine on Jan 25th and Vestratto received it Jan 2 and I got V2 delivered Feb 8.

This is my Forge Version 2 @Vestratto @whistlerski

I’m not sure what’s going on but it doesn’t seem to be working…

Edit: An email response I got suggests it might just be a fault with the display screen, will update when I have more info.

what Milwaukee says about Amazon is that they are not an officially authorized retailer. As a result warranty is not honored by them if thats where you bought it. I wouldn't say the ones that are on there are all counterfeit but they are mostly Gray market. Just not purchased through official channels.

So a week ago I posted a video of my Forge V2 screen not working. Vestratto have kindly sent me a warranty replacement which arrived yesterday but I’ve been away for a while and only got back last night.

Before I opened the package I decide to plug the battery back into the faulty forge and just see what happened… well it turned on and worked perfectly with the tornado… multiple times.

Then I decided to use the HyperDyn and THC and have managed to get this to happen 3 times.

I’m about to open my new Forge and am packing this one up to send back to them with this video.

Just thought I’d share an update as I said I would.

I'm a new Forge user (only had it for 2 days), and I have a question for those who use it with both the Anvil and the Tornado.

I've noticed some curious behavior:

When I heat my Anvil using the 3600 joules / 100% configuration, it takes 17 seconds, but I end up with combustion — so I have to lower the joules.

However, when I use the Tornado with 5600 joules / 100%, the heat-up takes 24 seconds, and I get a perfect one-heat extraction with a nicely browned AVB.

Now here’s what’s puzzling:
With my Wand (set to the max temp of 800°F), I get the same "one heat extraction" with the Tornado in 23 seconds, while it takes 60 seconds to get similar results with the Anvil.

So my question is:
How is it that the Wand, which is less powerful than the Forge, heats the Tornado faster (in seconds) to achieve the same results?
And why is it that with the Wand, the Tornado heats up twice as fast as the Anvil, but with the Forge, it’s the opposite (the Tornado takes longer than the Anvil to heat)?

For reference, I’m using the Wagon Wheel with the Forge.
