I was looking at the cement ashtray and thinking small size - I couldn't find dimensions for the zx, does anyone know if I could put the lid on while the zx cools down
I've got a round 5" and a ~6" fauceted ones, both with lids. I took a razor blade to remove the black foam, although you might not have to. And to answer your question, yes, you can use the cover with a ZX inside.

I originally was fearful of the coil and the risk associated with it. However, I rationalized that women everywhere use curling (or straightening) irons and a coil is really similar. I cut a notch in a coffee mug with a diamond grinder wheel and that's what I use as my ZX stand. The ZX is in the coffee mug stand - unless I am taking a hit and then I am holding a Dfreez coil handle. That Amazon cement ashtray looks like a good pre-made option.

I am among the first ZX adopters and have had zero accidents with the coil.

Laughably, my only coil burn was using a friend's Flowerpot B2 a few years ago. The weight of the B2 tipped the WP over and I hurriedly grabbed what I could to rescue and ended up grabbing part of the coil for a half-second. Yowch! The ZX, in comparison, is so small and light tipping a WP over has never been an issue.

International orders always get an order invoice inside the box unless I made a mistake and forgot, but it's part of my protocol.

Checking your order it appears it has cleared customs and is in transit to the destination, so thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your answer ! I did expect everything was fine regarding the packaging and invoicing, but who knows what’s really going on… I’ll just be patiently waiting, and finding out if I can accelerate things on my side.

Can't wait to hear what you think of the ZX!
I totally agree with that  Hopefully I have you guys and all your comments:clap:

Everything is currently in stock (though probably not for much longer)

But I'm glad you posted as I've been trying to get ahold of you.

I sent you a few emails attempting to confirm your voltage selection as you selected 110V in a 220V country, and I just want to make sure that's correct. Some people are probably using step downs, but I've had a number of customers accidentally select the wrong voltage during checkout, and with the cost and time of international postage I just want to make sure that info is correct.

Thank you!

Thanks for rocking with me since day one friend, appreciate having you here my dude!!

Super rare find there, ZXL's definitely don't come up very often and very few were made; what a score!!

The full zirconia ZXperience is where it's at for sure, thanks for rocking with me dude!
So stoked that you're enjoying it!

Super stoked to hear you're liking it! That makes me feel good, I really appreciate having you all here.

And I really apologize for the drawn out delays and wait guys.
I recognize I dropped the ball with this last round of orders, I'm trying my best to recover and get back into the game.
Just hard to focus on this business sometimes, high highs and low lows, some consistency would go a long way.

Thanks to everyone following along and giving PHASE3 a chance, your support make this all possible and I am both humbled and honored at the respect everyone has been showing. I definitely appreciate all the messages from happy owners excitedly waiting for new PHASE3 releases.

Cheers to the entire Z Fam.
Hey

Thanks for checking, I definitely need the 220v plug please.

Cheers

come on Ed get thsoe handles for the zxxl finished up son. I've been waiting since June 2024. I'm about ready to call it quits and give mine up to someone else who doesn't mind waiting fo another six months.

I'm gonna be like Queequeg, jumping up out of my coffin for the ZXXL, sailing off to...well, nevermind that, I guess. The point is, I'll follow it around perdition's flames before I give it up!

My ZX arrived a few days ago, on Friday, just in time to spend the whole weekend testing it :D
Wasn’t too happy with the delivery time, but after everything I learned about this device in this forum, I knew exactly that if I had chosen any other device in the meantime, I would still be curious about how the Zirconia Ceramic ZX tastes and performs.
So I waited, and now I’m holding this little masterpiece in my hands :)

Had no problems with customs clearance, it just took a few days (ordered from Germany without a PID to avoid customs problems, and its working perfect with the suggested PID from Aliexpress).

I waited a few days before giving my feedback since this is my first coil vape.
I´m still dialing it in with different draw speeds and temperatures and I´m now beginning understand the full potential of this little monster.
Crazy to see how much vapor it produces, no matter how fast you draw lol.

It really delivers what you promised — its perfect for microdosing, but strong enough to deliver huge hits, its very tasty and incredibly smooth.
After a few days of learning I am getting the clean one-hit-extractions I was looking for!
Now I’m even going to need a new bong/bubbler, since my double-percolator bong has too much filtration, the ZX needs less water and I understand why some of you even use a dry pipe, maybe I’ll grab one too :D

Thank you for this little perfect vape Ryan! : )

No idea if this is a joke, but if not I’ll gladly take over waiting for you. I didn’t learn about phase3 or the ZXXL until after the presale was already over, but every time I see a picture of one it speaks to me like the green goblin mask spoke to Willem Dafoe in Spider Man

Good morning, let me be clear nobody is waiting on me! I have had the handle bolts in hand since 2-18 after a delay in shipping which wasn't on me. I have a handle design prototype since 2-21. I have reached out to @invertedisdead several times along the way only to hear back from him once on 3-4 saying he was away and was back catching up on emails wanting to finalize this soon. I have not heard a word on whether he saw the pics I sent nor anything about moving forward. I have sent a couple more emails since then on 3-5 and 3-18 with no response back.

Cant say nobody wants some communication more than me but I haven't been waiting as long as you. Let me say it again you aren't waiting on me, I can get them knocked out in no time with some communication and when finalized.

Hey there. Thanks for responding. At least this clears some things up a bit. Sounds like we just have a case of poor communication on Phase3's part then. So after checking my email I found my order for the zxxl which was place not in 06/24 but 8/24. . Anyhow I appreciate you chiming in here on this thread to make me aware of the issue. Thank you @Ed's TnT. I will keep trying to contact Ryan to see what the hold up is on his end.

I just got done reading pretty much all of this thread, great looking vapes, and I hope the business-side of things will improve going forward, so it matches the quality of the vapes :-)

Ryan, I know the first batch hasnt even gone out to users, but I was wondering if you have any indication on when new orders for the ZXXL will be accepted + when they will be ready for shipment?

It seems like my perfect ballvape, though I don't fancy waiting 6 months or so

Alternatively, I'm looking at the ZX. Seeing the 220v version of the kit is sold out, which 16mm coil are people using with theirs?

Whats the deal with ball swaps y'all?

I've read folks use anywhere from 4mm to 3mm, boro to zirc ... Ball to wall ...

Any reason to look into that for zx or does it come with the perfect ball config?

Something about nerding out on gear makes me just need to seek-out perfect - probably because getting things "just right" is a luxury with most things in life.

Yes one of the benefis of most ball vapes is that you can experiment with different types of heating sources gem cut, sphere, sic, ruby, sapphire, etc... and different sizes 2mm 3mm 4mm and s on. In my pnion when Ryan made the ZX he fine tunedi it to work at optimal conditions. So therefore I have never bothered swapping out the saphhires in my ZX since it works great as is out of the box. I'm very happy with the way it came and works well. I'm sure that there are some other users of the zx on this forum that have swapped the gem's for other sorts. Hopefully one of them will see your question and respond. Bty putting different size ruby's or whatever you are using you can change a few variables in how the vape operates, such as recovery time, air flow etc...All I can say is for myself I say "if it ain't broke don't fix it". LOL

I agree. Ryan mentioned using larger balls so I switched out the 3mm rubies for 4mm rubies in my Z8. It needs to be turned up a little more than it used to and the extra airflow is really nice for a few of my waterpipes, but ultimately unnecessary. I've left the ZX as is, couldn't be happier with it.

Hey Ryan

I double checked my order and I ticked “no temp controller” as I already have a ruby twist controller I can use thought it would help get through customs. I did add the extra screens though.

Oh wait, if I dont need a PID with my purchase, then the 110 or 220v doesnt matter, right?

or is there also a difference in coils, and wouldnt it be compatible with my current D-Nail PID?

It needs to be the correct pinout. I can tell you that my zx works with my Auber, & Crossing Tech & Disorderly Conduction pid's. I don't own the D-Nail pid and I'm also not sure what the pinout is for the D-Nail pid. I found this posted from @coolbreeze from a while back. this may help you. https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/phase3-vaporizers.48407/post-1794064

You need the right voltage coil and the pin-outs on the m/f plugs have to match (there are two layouts).
Ah I thought just the pins should match, I wasnt aware the coil voltage too. Bummer

Does anyone use any 3rd party coils with their ZX, or did you all go for the bundle?

The zx uses a 16mm coil You can find 16 mm coils at Vgoodiez. But Bundle is the way to go. That way you know that everything will work out of the box.

Vgoodiez is a good tip, thank you!

Since it's not listed on the Phase3 website, do you happen to know how tall the surface is that the coil should cover?

I'm guessing 17.64mm is the way to go?

If those measurements refer to the height of the coil choose the last option of 17.34mm so as to cover the entire part of the ZX where the balls are contained.
