Hey All. Posted in the classifieds but wanted to drop here too.

Got this today and really super tempted to keep/try it out. Super nice and quality compared to another piece I’d tried. Let me know if any questions.

You can use this without cutting the cap/mouthpiece off?

The end of the cap is stuck in with a little bit of glue. But it will pull apart. DON'T CUT IT I have a video up above that shows how to do it.
That was a nice looking piece, but I'm mostly using the Pivot at home anyway. I've been using the Puffco glass adapter with a MJA mini rig and am happy with it. I'm not crazy about anything that requires messing with the cap/mp. I had thought there were some glass pieces for the pivot that just attached to the cap.

That’s me. I use it mostly at home and really have no complaints using the stock MP. This one was sent to me by accident (I ordered a Peak top and was sent a Pivot top). Just wanted to post here if anyone was interested and also how impressive the quality of the maker/design. This one, just pull the MP back and plug it in the top. For me, if I was going to use this style, it would be with a tether system, removing the to stock mp completely.

I'd tossed and turned over the Pivot. I wasn't sure of my need to dab on the go, and also I was worried about the heat.

The heat is certainly noticeable, but not prohibitively so.

And I think it's going to be great at the job I bought it to do - I never intended it to be a daily driver, I got it cos I never found a battery vape + dosing cap combo that I really loved for when I'm on the go... so I decided that my on the go set up will just be a 1-minute sesh with the Pivot, possibly with up to 3 pre-loaded chambers, as opposed to a 7-minute sesh with the Venty or TM2, dealing with herb and/or dosing caps that inhibit performance. I'm really, really happy with it from that perspective.

I'm not sure I would've loved it if my aim had been for it to be a daily driver, but as something super quick, easy, clean and portable for the 2-3 days a week I have to go out, I think it's going to be perfect.

How about 4 chambers?
Case is from remcollindesigns on Etsy. Works great on the go. 4 dab limit.
Hmm I might have picked that up if I saw it when I got the rig kit. I don't really see much use for the slots in the universal case I got since I don't use alcohol pads much.

As another follow up, the rig from remicollin has replaced everything to become my daily driver. I have only used that at home (and once on the go stored in my pocket which was fun) and then take the pivot in whatever case configuration I'm using for on the go preloaded with a single chamber.

But yeah I have tossed a massive bowl at it on rainbow (bottom 1/3 of the chamber filled with concentrate) with 2 double clicks to extend time and had the most potent session I've had in years.

If anyone else picks that kit or something similar up, I'm curious to hear what other experiences are like!

I discovered there's an orientation for the pivot last night in the base where the light show on rainbow does a really good job of illuminating the tug chamber if you're into that. I found it a fun novelty I'll use when having sessions with friends.

I've picked up one of those Etsy cases, so I'll report back when it arrives.

I think the Puffco case that they've made for the Pivot is excellent, and I love how much space there is for everything - I think it's juuust a touch too big to be pocketable. It'll fit in some pockets, it's not going to fit in others. You'll still take the larger Puffco case when you're taking a bag I think.

It really is a good case for out and about. Probably the most pocketable case I’ve seen on Etsy. 4 preloaded ovens, a charged battery, and 4 q tips is all you need. And 4 dabs is a lot for most outings (work, beach, parties etc.).
Even at home, I’ll leave the pivot in the case while using it. Keeps everything together and it’s more stable when standing upright (easier to load).

This is a pretty interesting post by Rem Collin Designs https://www.reddit.com/user/Remcollindesigns/

I just bought the pivot piece he shows on top of it hooked up to his water piece. I can't use it or show off mine until i get a Joystick top which i assume just sits on the center of the rubber gasket. Can anyone tell me how that is supposed to work with joystick tops? The gasket on the top is the standard Puffco gasket also used in Peak Pro & Proxy i believe. Any recommendations on a joystick i can use with this setup? (can't you tell I'm not 100 % of what i am looking for?)

I can also verify that you do NOT have to cut the strap on the silicone mouthpiece. It will pull out without too much difficulty and can even be replaced once the chamber is removed from within its silicone cover.

very tempted to get this , but I have a few questions:
Can you load a huge chunk of rosin and hit it on demand over the day or days? I usually like to take tiny rips throughout the day.
I do this with the Tronian Gammatron currently with decent success, but the coil is a bitch to clean.
My wife is a super smeller, is this a stinker?
is there an aftermarket non silicone (but still discreet) mouthpiece in the EU?
Someone on the thread mentioned hash? It doesn’t work for dry sift hash does it?

cheers guys!

I suppose it's possible, but this sounds like a very bad idea. The Pivot is basically a very tiny banger. Could you load a quartz banger with a gram of rosin and do multiple cold start dabs over a day or two? I guess. But you'd be wasting tasty terpenes and cannabinoids.

I usually like to take tiny rips throughout the day.

Me too. I use a titanium toothpick to load micro dabs. It's pretty quick.

The coil is a little bucket/banger. You're went to swab it out in between dabs. Much easier than a metal coil.

I think that's dependent on your hash. It's a tiny dab rig. The Pivot will smell as much or as little as the hash would doing a cold start dab in a banger.

I don't believe that would be ideal. But maybe. I've used ice water hash, but that is full melt.

Don't do this, the pivot is not really designed to be used this way. and it will leave a huge mess, your chamber probably will chazz and you will be very unhappy. If that's what you want to do & its working probably best to stick with your Gammatron.

Just grabbed one of these as they're $120 at Canna Cabana in Canada if you sign up for their elite membership. The membership cost does defray the discount but should be able to make it up through discounts on weed as I have def paid more at other stores for products that they have discounted for elite members.

Any consensus on a decent not super expensive glass mouthpiece? I do kinda want a magizle one but have yet to see the kind I like shipping from Canada.

This right here. I did too big of a load last week and it made a bit of a mess. I discovered after 3 iso baths there's 1 or two seams inside the chamber and that's how my oil was getting in behind the walls. Stick to small dabs and you will be happier in the long run.

The mouthpiece I decided to soak too and that was a mistake. It smelled AWFUL and I couldn't get it to go away so I had to vacuum seal and toss it. Thankfully I bought some extra ones.

Dry sift hash will not work well in this application, the chamber walls are what heats up and it relies on the air spinning to pull the oil up the side walls.

I tried it once and it didn't fully cook and chazzed the crap out of the bottom corners which took about 20 sessions and wipes to go away. If did not taste very good either... I much prefer my Tempest for that.

a lot of good Pivot wisdom right here^^^^^^^^

that dry sift hash has a better use in my opinion. I add some to my flower bowls first in my PAX to give that sesh a lift! Since PAX is pure conduction put any additive (powered hash, kief, etc) in first so its closest to the heat source, definitely NOT Last. It would probably work well in a lot of other weed vapes as well I think you just need to play Science to get optimal results.

& yes soapy hot water is best for cleaning silicone mouthpieces, not ISO . Silicone is a magnet for oil stickiness so i try to time my mouthpiece cleaning when I'm doing the ISO treatment on the chamber etc. But hey if you buy the chambers you get fresh mouthpieces on there.

Yeah I tried soaking and massaging it in near-boiling water mixed with dawn and it helped a lot, but it was still so strong that if you removed it from an airtight container it would stink up a medium-sized room in about 15 seconds. I never realized silicone could get that bad! Lessons learned

Oh also I got the pro ball cap for that pro rig from remicollindesign and it made a huge difference for me. I don't know how a joystick would work differently but my only complaint with the pro cap is that it's so short and if you aren't careful you can easily end up pulling it out from the glass while moving it.
