Anvil by Vestratto

I'm looking at getting an Anvil - I could go with the oven and USA adapter and just use it with my Revolve stem.

But I'm thinking I might just buy the stock Anvil with native stem and mouthpiece to use with a bubbler. There's no benefit to the USA adapter if I'm getting the whole kit, right? The stock mouthpiece will fit in a bubbler?

What other accessories should I be looking at other than a double size bowl, XL mouthpiece and case?

I will probably get a Wand eventually, but I have a Yll 2.0 that I use with my Dynavaps, and I generally prefer using the blowtorch.
If you only want to use it with a bubbler I would recommend the wpa anvil kit… it is easier to clean and in my opinion works a little bit better then the normal anvil kit in a bubbler..
Or you could by the USA kit and find a cheap wpa adapter for 8mm for example from dynavape or so..

Sorry, I should've been clearer on that.

I definitely don't only want to use it with a bubbler - I want the option to take it with me as a daily driver with the "normal" bowl, or to drop it in the bubbler at night with the double bowl.

Yeah the anvil's heat sleeve has a black o-ring at the end that creates a good seal with 14mm joints. The WPA adaptor @btka suggested would be a better job for dedicated bubbler use. They way I used it sounds similar to your plans and I found the stock stem did a grand job as a wpa.

I had the anvil with XL mouthpiece as my daily driver for about 2 years. The heat shield never got hot and the weight balance was perfect, where as I'm pretty sure I've read here that the Anvil can feel a bit top heavy on the revolve. If you end up going for the USA kit I'd get a wood sleeve for your revolve if you don't have one. I wouldn't bother buying both

If you're getting the XL mouthpiece you might want the XL cap if you're buying the Vestratto case because the anvil won't fit otherwise.

If you want an induction heater for the anvil I wouldn't bother with the wand, wait for the Vestratto Forge or BFG Flare. There's also the CamouFlet inductor and the VHB induction heaters that can work well I think, I don't own them so can't say for sure. I've only used the CopperCore oven so if you're getting the ThermoCore it might actually work well with the wand.

Then maybe buy anvil kit…
Or you could buy USA kit, use it with your revolve stem (I do not have one, so I can not tell you how good it will cool the vapor) and a cheap wpa (dynavape) (also I can not tell you how good this will work and which you should get…

The revolve vapour with the Anvil is definitely is cooler than the stock stem depending on how you set it up

The Wand works great with the Thermocore oven for me. There are a bunch of posts about how to get the best results in this thread 😊

The OG Anvil is great native or through water, imho. I use mine through water 90% of the time but I prefer the stem to the WPA. For the Thermocore I use the USA and a glass cooling stem almost exclusively for extend doob-like sessions. So, for me the regular stem is more useful than the WPA but the USA is excellent for using cooling stems with the Thermocore, or even a quick switch to a glass or wooden DV WPA.

I could definitely go with just the head and the USA, but the stem is actually pretty nice.

Another +1 for the stock anvil for bubbler use. I don't have the the WPA to compare but I love the normal stem for my use.

I keep my Anvil in a leather sleeve for storage. Because I only use the stem with normal MP usually, it makes it really easy to just keep in the sleeve and then pop it into my bubbler or bring outside. Also, the Anvil makes a LOT of reclaim, just because of how dense the vapor is, so the less swapping of stems I have to make the better imo. It gets very sticky! I barely even use the USA either for the same reason.

I really wanted the WPA for the lower profile on my bubbler and the slightly shorter airpath, but honestly I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. I love LOVE the stock device for all uses.

I have the USA and the WPA but I never use them anymore because the stock stem is so solid. Works perfect for native use and bubbler use IMO.

For me, the essential accessories are the XL mouthpiece and the utility case with the XL cap. Also highly recommend grabbing both the full and the XL bowls. Pretty much all you need right there.

I just use the stock unit on 14mm or 10 mm on glass. I totally gave up native anything for the good of my throat. It made a difference. Even a small stem helps.

I can cram .12 in a Dynavap, probably .8 in the small anvil bowl.
.15 in the standard anvil bowl.
Maybe .25 in the XL.

For me small bowl is a perfect one hitter just like a dougout and pinch hitter.

Small bowl has never combusted.

Large bowl runs hottest.

Been microdosing, using much less material. I filled my Xmax V3 for a friend. It seemed huge.

Having difficulty finding my answer via search. The screen on my
Anvil tastes like charcoal and no alcohol soak can fix it. What size replacement screen does it take? Will my Dynavap screens fit?

I'm probably not best placed to answer. I own the Anvil, the USA (for when I want to get some stems eventually) and have the WPA on the way.

I almost exclusively hit it through a waterpiece and just want to be able to rest it on the table instead of having to put it back in the piece which is why I'm also grabbing the WPA.

It's super minor.

I feel like if you can only own 1 of the full Anvil, WPA, or USA, I'd go with the Anvil because it's so well crafted, feels complete, and looks beautiful )can also change out the heat shields!)

Yes the stock mouthpiece fits a 10mm and 14mm female joint.

I actually love the half bowl. Because the extraction is so efficient I find the half bowl has really cut down my usage. The XL bowl feels like I'm hitting a dab lol you'll love it.

Case is great too. I'd always get some spare o-rings and screens
I will probably get a Wand eventually, but I have a Yll 2.0 that I use with my Dynavaps, and I generally prefer using the blowtorch.
Vestratto is releasing a way higher power heater called The Forge in the coming months which you might be interested in looking at.

I own a Venty, TM2, T360, and Terp Hammer as well. The Anvil wins my reach test and it's not even close, and I never thought I'd enjoy a blowtorch but here I am and love the ritual.

I cant help you because the only manual vape i own is the anvil, but have you washed in detergent + hot water and also rinsed in 100% iso soaked the entire device disassembled?

I've combusted bad a couple of times and used 100% iso + washing with detergent to return it to brand new. Even made stem milk from it and after a clean its brand new. It's stainless which I thought wouldn't retain a taste

you can torch it clean also…
Sometimes I torch my condenser and screen clean (do not know how good this is for the condenser)…

Or take it out
Savage.

Yes, take it out. But not permanently like some nug consumers choose to. Take it out and clean in behind the screen. I use a toothpick or bamboo skewer. It’s easier to clean the screen when it’s out. Then put it back. I use the threaded bottom end of the stem to seat the screen.

i removed the screen about a year ago. Also on the full and the half bowl. The XL doesn't have one anyway. I mostly put in nugs, but I grind too. Far less hassle this way.

Hey guys, could use some help. Put away my Anvil for quite some time and just got back into it. Looking at buying the USA, a WPA, and a Thermocore oven. I have an OG Anvil and I'm not seeing on Anvil's website an easy way to do this, am I missing something??? Is there no way to just get a Thermocore separate from buying an entire kit? And the WPA is sold out, does Vestratto restock quickly or are there better options out there?? I don't want anything wood for a WPA. Thanks!

If you click on the listing for the "CopperCore Oven" it actually shows Thermocore and Duracore as the only options. The Thermocore indicates "pre order 3-4 week delivery time" but I think it has said that for a while. I'm not sure how long it is taking those to ship out currently.

It looks like the 18mm Carbon WPA is in stock, but the rest are sold out. It looks like Sneaky Pete is sold out on the WPA as well unfortunately. You could e-mail Vestratto to ask about re-stock times.

I was considering the anvil thermocore too and was in a similar situation to yourself owning the. Og. If you want the USA I'd just buy the kit. It's $130 for an oven and then $50 dollars for the USA. The USA kit is $180 and you get a bowl with it. You can use the USA with a dynavap wpa like the bb9 if you dont want to wait on the anvil WPA?

Ah ha, thank you! But I gotta be honest, holy mother of shit :o, I can't pay for basically an entire new Anvil price wise to get those three things. Wow, didn't see that coming, kinda shocked so many people have paid that price for just a new oven. I thought it would be more like the price as just the USA adapter .

Thanks that would be a better choice. But that price is just too steep for me, and by a wide margin.

Thanks to both of you, on to the next idea I suppose.

Yeah the ovens are really dear but they are alot more complicated to manufacture than the rest of the anvil I'd guess

No problem, there's a the "Whiff10" discount code I only remembered there it gets 10 percent off:)
