I ordered a couple of bits from mad the other day, inside was a little packet with the final VI coil/spring.
I ordered my unit on the 20th November.
I also ordered some bits the other day no VI in mine or a wand stand , after all the vids I put up showing off the Tempest too , bloody disgusting 🤣🤣
On a serious note though my VI is spot on and the clicks aren't a million miles off , the way I use my tempest in the wand the VI and clicks have no relevance at all, and there's no way i would be able to install a different VI or click discs even if i had them im useless 🤣

Dang! 🤣
Sure you'll be seen right soon enough 😎

I've never heard mine click, I've tried and tried but not heard them yet, haha.

The new stand thing is neat, I did order one of those.
I love the new funnels too, they have a notch so that a tempest (a cold one!) can sit on it.
At least I think that's what the notches are for.

So today I wanted to clean my balls but I lost couple of them, I only have 80 left. Any place in Europe where I can order some spare ones?

They have replacements listed on the website now, zirc and glass, but not sure about mainland Europe.

If you have you can fill the space of that few missing ones with any other size or material ball.

I filled 3mm rubies, a little higher than till bottom thread, thus few balls extra. But all of the balls weigh only ~2.8g. Rubies are that much lighter than zirconia? I imagine heat retention must be worse...

On a side note, I'm getting some damage to the balls screen edges. Could be more gentleness is needed when mounting. Below is pic showing it.

I've rubbies in my ball vape and I find they stay hotter for longer for sure. Was thinking about getting some rubbies for tempest how are they to clean compared to the zirconia?

I have been playing with SiC, seem to work great. I dialed my wand back until 400F and it seems to be about spot on to timeout, Still experimenting but I like it.

Ok, received mine. I am lucky that the custom make a wrong estimation of the value, otherwise the price ....
Is it normal that the mouthpiece is floppy ?
This afternoon, I have the mission to find the sweet spot. I will need that to calm donwn because of the electricity and gaz bilt I received also today (the increase of the price is a shame in France).

How is cleaning the Temptest, and how often does it need to be done? I'm seeing about cleaning the balls, and that sounds like a PITA. I'm wanting one to compliment my Anvil, but I find I have to clean and maintain it very little. I won't go into comparing or asking for comparisons, but I love the little maintenance required, so I'm hoping I can get away with the same if I pick up a Tempest with the rosewood. Any insights? Can I just soak the whole thing (without the wooden shield) and be good to go?

I throw the stem and bowl parts in my usual jar of iso so those bits won't be any different to your regular method I would think.
I do those bits every 7-10 days, or just when it feels like it needs done.

Others just sit the whole thing in iso overnight and rinse/dry in the morning.

I don't clean the head/balls as often as the rest of it, but when I do clean that, I just drop the head in enough fresh iso to totally cover it, leave it for a few minutes then give it a good rinse with really hot water, I would do this if I'd combusted for instance.

I've had mine since around the end of november and the balls have only really needed one proper clean as they were a bit grimey, it will happen eventually but 3 months isn't bad. I admittedly have cleaned them more than once, but only because I'm a bit ocd and I also really like taking my toys to bits.... But yeah, they have only really needed to be cleaned once so far.

For cleaning the balls, I put them in a tub with sugar soap, let them soak, give them a shake and a good rinse and that got them back to more or less new.

Someone else here puts the balls in a tea strainer and torches them, going by the photos that worked really well too and probably a little faster.

It is not complicated to clean, like anything you get used to it and when you know the device it takes no time at all.

put it this way even if i do clean the balls, it only takes slightly longer to clean than a normal dynavap would.

Started using the 3TM stem with the Tempest.
Did a google but found nothing, is that an insulated stem for cold like the insulated bongs? Does it have an easier searchable name?! Seems like a dream, I keep an insulated bong outside cos when its -20 ya don't need ice!! Haha looks cool :)

I am among the worst for cleaning based on what I have read. The balls don't get dirty enough for me to worry about cleaning really, slight discoloration but I never cleaned mine on the standard.. now having swapped over to new SiC balls (just cos I wanted to experiment) and I don't feel that the old ones were in need of a clean anyways.

The rest of it breaks down easy and I just take a chunk of bud and wipe everything down while warm and then vape the bud. I do this rarely enough, maybe once since I got it in early Dec, the inside is coming up a bit resiny so at some point I may need to do an iso soak but not any time soon. I don't know how my usage compares in this venue but I probably do about 5 full bowls a day on a weekday in the evening and weekends depends but sometimes a lot more than 5 if I don't need to do anything involving driving or heavy equipment etc.

its Ryan from rasta buddah tao?

I remember they wanted folk to pay $350 to get on the project, from memory it sounded like there was some funky stuff going on inside it. It went quiet and I forgot about it till today, didn't realise it was just a shell full of glass balls.

My €15 wizard pipe from DH gate arrived today (less than 2 weeks since order) thing is amazing on the tempest.

Tempest fits perfectly inside and the hits are just extra super tasty, I like to vape hot and closed cap to clear the bowl in 1 cycle and so the glass length cools the vapor a perfect amount, easily allows you do to multiple hit too, definitely found my new favourite way to enjoy my new favourite toy (tempest)

Anyone know how big the Tempest delivery box/parcel is? Mines due to be delivered tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'll be in at the time, wondering if it will fit through a standard UK post box on a door.
