Tafée Bowle

I'll be interested to hear the early reports and find out whether this thing is all that different from the original.

The battery is six times larger than the OG? I find that hard to believe. Makes you wonder what they were thinking with the original being so tiny.

I thought I read the OG stems won't work with the new unit, but they look exactly the same in the photos. I wonder what's different? It would have been nice if you could just upgrade to the new puck.

Tafée is really not good at marketing their products. The website needs a refresh so badly.

No, it was 369 USD.
If you check the shop, Bowle™ is 369 USD and the new version (Bowle™ Series II) is 420 USD.

Yeah I guess it was 420 with shipping, but I got mine for POTV, I guess it's not going there any time soon?

I bought version one shortly after it’s released and I thought it was 399 because I got the large cup, but I could be wrong. I know I paid more for the larger cup.

Earthling flora is... fascinating.
When it comes to stems, etc. they kind of seem like founders/loyalty bonuses when they carry over. Modular designs that don't make past versions obsolete make you feel better about having invested in the original. But if it's needed to fit improvements, I guess that's the sacrifice
When you get the Bowle II, can you let us know if the old stems would fit with a few alterations?

The indicator for me is that there is now a Potter II appearing on the site. So I think we may see slightly larger pots and stems, with no carry over.

I think that originally, the Bowle people saw this device as being for one or two bowls, then done. Y'know, along with your iced tea. So the 750mah battery (which also kept overall size down) seemed okay. Clearly they are responding to user feedback now with 5,000mah.

While actual size may not be 6x, capacity seems to be.

Was there supposed to be a confirmation email after orders are placed? I didn't seem to get one. I have a pending charge from Tafee on my credit card, but that's it. Not sure if I messed something up.

@NightBeast6909 -- Check your spam/junk folder

I received an order confirmation email immediately after purchase

it included an order summary with order number, and a note:

"we're getting your order ready to be shipped, we will notify you when it has been sent"

many ecommerce folks set their software to put charge as pending, then commit the charge after shipping. My card also lists a pending transaction, ordered last Friday

Charging now

Bowle-Series-2-arrived.jpg

Freebies for early buyers include stubby stem and aluminum potter grinder

They didn't change the paper quick start guide, and no Series 2 manual online at the moment. Waiting for first full charge before using, so have to assume operation hasn't changed, but interested in the utility of the new haptic feature

Don't be a bonehead like me and try swapping stems between devices

Oddly, stems seem same dimensions. But a tight fit for new stem in old Bowle -- so much so that I already nicked the finish on new stem. Old stem in new Bowle doesn't feel snug or air tight

Seems like same outer finish as old Bowle, but I may be mistaken?

Edit: almost done charging, 90 min so far

Remember to register your unit, I just did

That's when I noticed this Serial Number:

Bowle-Series-2-puck-SN-001.jpg

(teachers always said I was "special")

Another Edit:

Arrived empty, little over two hours to fully charge. I may be blind, but didn't see a charging block included in kit, so I used my cheapo 45W block. Be sure to use a high speed usb C cable like the great one included by Tafee

Trying to be consistent to get good pots/charge number -- 3 six sec draws at level 3, then 3 more at level 4

I tried a draw at the new level 5, char taste and dark herb

Haptic feedback when ready to draw. Just a two second wait anyway, so, um... Suppose it's useful to know that Bowle is still on, if you can't see the lights through your drink? Or if you can't see after drinks?

No mystery heater cutoff to blue during draw yet

Performance is still great, with longer battery life, sweet! Six pots done so far, says 4 out of 5 battery bars

Maybe it's because my older Bowle is 4 years old, but the new Series 2 Bowle seems easier to draw, less restrictive??

IMHO, as of end of first day, Bruno done good

Bravo, Bruno ... for your vision, and tenacity, and balls
(no, not like ball vape balls -- but close:science::clap:)

To me, it feels more solid in the hand. The battery is the first major noticeable difference. It does seem to have less restriction which I have to get used to. The hits are pleasant and remind me of my original. With the less restriction I have to adjust my technique slightly but I haven’t perfected it yet.

This is the only vape I have zero issue using without water. I can’t wait to be walking around sipping and puffin this summer.

Well worth the weight and price❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💪🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
