curious about the advantages of the thermocore. I know it retains heat longer.

When using the duracore, I always finish my xl bowl in one inhale to a medium coffee brown. I always thought of the anvil as the one vape that finishes a load in one heat cycle.

So is the thermocore for low and slow?
slow and fierce more like. it can store a considerable amount of heat

The ThermoCore helps hold some more heat which in turn allows the user to get better extraction at those lower temps while only adding a few seconds to the heat up time. It also couples better with the Forge and other induction heaters to allow them to heat more efficiently.

The ThermoCore adds more of a convection experience, the extra mass allows for most of the heat to be retained by the oven keeping the herb even cooler before extraction.

Oh and not to mention the "cold start" method I've been playing around with for a pure convection hit. With the Forge i have been able to heat the oven alone to a certain temp only to then drop the herb chamber into the oven. This is something i tried back in the day with a torch but it was too hard getting it the right temp. With the Forge we are going to see new possibilities at Vestratto. We have a lot of ideas we want to play around with and cant wait to start some more R&D.

Is it just me or is the thermocore a step in the wrong direction as far as rtl one hitter effect most enjoy from the anvil?

Make a weaker device so it works better with induction? Eh I’ll pass. Make a better induction heater..

All torch vapes I’ve tried can sip and mtl but not all can one hit extract like a beast duracore and prior ovens

This makes sense if the heat retention is still going strong but the bowls all dried up.
I think this must be it. It's only happened for me using the Camouflet Inductor so I think heating it right up to the line makes the effect you've described more likely. Also, doing that and then pulling through a waterpipe or something restrictive.
Maybe it’s just too new but I haven’t heard anyone say it slaps as hard as the older models.
I'll try a one-hit later with the regular bowl and the half bowl, on the USA and a WPA.

Nah, you can still RTL just fine. It's actually easier to do so now. I've had to dial back a bit to get the same results as the OG oven.

you wouldn't say that if you actually had one and used it

oh it does. trust me. in a slightly different way. but just as hard or maybe even harder. i'm a medical user and i vape for the full thc

You find it hits weaker? When I got my Beta 7 months ago the 1st thing I noticed was way better extractions especially at the lower temps at the cost of a few extra seconds.

IMO the ThermoCore does everything the OG oven did and then some. It even allows people to get a better experience using other induction heaters like the wand or VHB.

The whole point of the Anvil was the extra thermal mass which helps aid in extraction, thus why the fmj and armored caps came out. The ThermoCore adds a tiny bit more mass to helps even more in the extracting deptartment.
We pretty much added some extra psi to the turbocharger in this case. The hits I been getting with torch and IH have been ridiculous and the extra mass also allows for a cold start method

I don't think @nicknobody has actually tried it. I sure don't find it hits weaker one bit. Quite the contrary. That extra heat retention and IH friendliness actually makes it both more versatile and harder hitting. I happen to not be a huge RTL guy, so have chosen to use it more like a puffer to give that blunt feel with the XL mouthpiece. With airflow settings adjusted accordingly.

Correct. Currently only have a duracore.

It’s comments like yours that throw me off tho. Just like most of the other comments since the thermo release. No ones talking about what Vestratto has always pushed. One hit extraction.

Untill I posted my rtl concerns I haven’t seen anyone saying it “rips” and mostly that it “sips” nicely hence my confusion on the performance compared to prior models.

Believe me I want to love it. It’s just not clear to me yet that it has improved heat retention, better mtl control AND still rtl like the previous models. The trend im seeing is ppl saying they enjoy sipping on it. I don’t use the anvil to sip with so I have no interest in an anvil that ONLY sips. Happy to see some thermo defense as far as rtl capabilities

Hey I had a idea today and before spending the money on it im curious what you guy's think of my idea.

I vape alot, I usually do 3 or 4 XL bowl per session and can't vape inside. Normally I heat my anvil in the garage and go outside to puff it. It's to cold outside to heat the anvil, it just combust cause the heat transfer between the heat battery and the bowl is affected.

I want to make a bowl exchanger device so I can pre-load my bowl and than just swap them once vaped.

I own a puck storage container and a few mad heathers magnets

So like that I could swap my 4 bowls and shorten the amount of time I spend outside/garage

My concerne is that all bowl clic a little different so im wondering if it will be possible to be good and master heating on 4 different bowl at a time🤔

Also im very lazy at cleanning so I was thinking about ordering a few condenser and just swap them when clogged ( without cleaning the stem, just condenser swap)

What you guy's think of those 2 ideas🤔

It even allows people to get a better experience using other induction heaters like the wand

The wand has enough power for a hassle free satisfying bowl with the thermocore?

Can anyone else confirm the wand is enough for the thermocore?

I have xtra condensers...I swap when dirty once then clean whole unit once the second one is dirty

I have been using the Wand quite a bit...also trying to dial in the cold bowl method described by @Roffa and @Whiff here.
It works well in my opinion...I also dont really try to RTL...I am a arm chair vaporist....I dont have large glass pieces so the majority of the time I use natively and other times thru a bubbler.

I don't sip. I don't have the time for that. I want all the effect I can get. pre-heat, push until click or even the second click with the IH, huge rip. Repeat immediately after cooldown click, another huge rip and that's it. I'm not stuck on the "it has to be one hit". Personally I think the thermocore is a gamechanger for IH and it has the wand well performing at last. So I'm all for it. No one is forcing one on you. For me it rips. IH with the OG was underwhelming to me, thermocore fixes that.

Thank you all for your time. It wasn’t clear to me before but now I believe the thermocore can sip AND rip..
thermocoring a bit of lemon haze and a crumb of hash at the moment. I hated the wand with the OG oven, it was underpowered and I like my vapor fierce, haha. It was a bit too mellow for me.

I do think pre-heating at the highest temp setting of the wand (ie maximum timer duration) is a must, and only then heat until click. So a hot start of sorts.

Hello all ive been using the duracore for months and its become my daily driver. I went butane to get away from batteries so i do not use nor want to use an induction heater. The duracore slams my xl bowl in one shot to a very dark avb and ive never really needed more time to extract it IME.

So for the people that dont use an IH is there really any other aspects of the thermocore im missing? For me i feel like it would be a sideways step not a step up as i use torches 100% of the time and the extra heating time while only seconds do add up to more fuel consumption.

Is the heat up time longer? I need to go back and read peoples opinions, but from everything I THOUGHT I’ve seen everyone say, is the thermocore is an upgrade in terms of heat retention and huge hits, and that is regardless or IH or torch no?

As @Whiff told me, "More mass means better extraction", so I guess it's effective with both butane and the IH heating method.
And as I believe, the Thermocore is ordered.:D
