Hey y'all. I ordered the quartz cap today and I can't wait to try it out! Looks like I need a bigger torch now. I recently broke my j-hook and I was interested to find out whether y'all prefer this device through water or dry. I may need to pick up a new j-hook too...

so I did some research and copped a bent stem and a WPA. Is there anything else y'all would consider a necessity?

So is this an upgrade comparable to, say, an induction heater for a dynavap? Am I understanding correctly? Like torchless and no hotspots? Edit to add: for a brick or a nova or something like that, I mean.

i'm not positive, but i think they're a bit different. i don't have a runt to try it with, but i think i remember reading somewhere (probably reddit) that they are NOT interchangeable...

hell yeah! his woodwork is sooo nice. even when i'm not vaping i catch myself sitting here just staring at my nova, playing with it like a fidget spinner. the magnets and the way the pieces fit together make it feel kind of like playing with a deck of cards in your hand or something. it's soothing.

Here are some pics of the new mouthpieces and the v1 and v2 on a bubbler. I'm still learning the curve but this is my new daily driver for the foreseeable future.

I used an 18-to-14 adapter and some silicone bits to secure it in place and plug the bottom up. Cost like five bucks and took less than ten minutes with the scissors. ETA this thing is SECURE. i honestly haven't even tried removing it, but it isn't going anywhere willingly...
