I thought it was only supposed to tick when the heater is going because it cycles on and off? You may have a bigger problem if that's the case.

@SilentRunner You CAN see it on mobile, you just have to click where it says in progress and then it gives you more details.

Well I guess you would need to compete the circuit by touching a piece of metal to them (a naked Grasshopper perhaps?). Anyway it doesn't hurt to be safe.

If you're going to store your batteries like that make sure you have like terminals facing each other (i.e. positive to positive or negative to negative). Otherwise they may slowly discharge.
